I have to bend over my kitchen sink to get 2-3 bars... not good

Poor reception in Huntington Harbour area except near Warner or PCH. I recently changed from excellant Verizon CDMA coverage to Cingular GSM because of desire to have an international cell phone. However, Cingular's coverage is so awful in my home area of Huntington Harbour that I will have to either go back to Verizon and forget international cell service or find another GSM carrier such as T-Mobile. At first evalluation, T-Mobile seems a little better. I am only 3 / 4 mile from Cingular tower, but they seem to have the antennas narrowly directed down PCH and Warner. They could easily solve the coverage problem; however, the engineering group is very unresponsive to customers.

Lousy reception, in Long Beach (home), Santa Monica (work), and everywhere in between. I feel like I got hosed. I jumped from T-Moble because I didn't like their handsets. Now I love my handset but most of my phone calls either break off or are so full of static that I give up and use a land-line.

It toggles between 0 and 1 in the house. Outside not much better. Heading south on Bolsa Chica turning into the neighborhood (before Westminster Ave) the signal goes dead (day and night) then gets poor reception (0 or 1 bar) in the neighborhood when it does pick up again.

Poor reception at best. Virtually worthless indoors. We make all calls at home from the front porch, and we pray not to be dropped while we are making the call. Verizon's "your problem is our problem" tagline is pure BS because they have done nothing to improve reception. I am only 1.5 miles from the Verizon store where the phones purchased, but the signal sucks big time. Reception is slightly (but only slightly) better with a Motorola e815 phone, but it still sucks like a shop vac. 0-1 bars at best indoors, 1-2 bars Max. outdoors.

Often lose calls when inside house (1 bar maximum when there is reception). Subpar reception (1 to 2 bars) outside with "cell phone garbel" during discussions. Generally good reception and quality elsewhere.

Reception is one bar downstairs and three bars upstairs in a two story residential home. In the last month I've noticed a lot of dropped calls. I previously had a cell phone with a pull up antenna and never had a dropped call.

Poor signal strength here in my home. I can only make calls while holding still in specific areas in my home.

Reception is usually excellent all over, inside and out: 4 or 5 bars. Just once in awhile, oddly (like right now), reception drops out altogether. It's like the Dish TV going blank when there's a solar eclipse only I can't think of a single reason for cellphone reception to erratically bonk out in a stationary place that has normally good coverage.

Reception is good in this area. Very few, if any, dropped calls. I had Cingular (Nokia 3360) in this area and the reception was a joke. On average I could only make calls 1 out of every 4 attempts or less. Cingular has great plans but the coverage is awful and and waste of money. I now have Sprint through work (Balckberry phone) and the coverage is only fair. Calls are dropped about 40% of the time. Verizon is a good carrier but they do seem to charge for just about anything they can possibly think of.
