Had to get a cellphone booster from T Mobile to get any reception at home. Once I got it I could make calls but they drop sometimes and friends say I sound garbled or like inder water sometimes. Heard its worse with Verizon

Dropped calls, with one bar indoors and outdoors. Santa delivered a sweet Apple gift card; so, I thought I'd get a new phone and switch to AT&T; then I read these comments and decided there's no hope for better reception. I love LA

2 bars out of 5 (at the most) ANYWHERE in Long Beach, and if you're working from home -- lots of luck. I also ordered a Jetpack which was slightly better reception UNTIL 2.5 million of them got recalled because they were catching fire. I'd go to an independent wireless store right in Long Beach (there's a good one in Belmont Shore) and ask their advice -- I would NOT order a device just assuming it will work great because the provider is a big name.

I'll lose phone calls when I am sitting still. I have to stand near a window or walk outside at times. Different parts of the house will drop the calls, or people tell me they can't hear me anymore.

I live three blocks north of City Hall and LBPD and Courthouse. I rarely get any signal at all no matter where I am in my home. When I get a signal I only get one bar all over downtown Long Beach. I am not sure this is a cell phone company issue or is it related to City Hall activities that blocks signal.

Verizon used to be pretty good. I have some of my old phones from around 2011 and different ones up from then. Iphone 4 no longer works in my house or back yard. I have to drive about a mile east for 2 bar reception. My 5C and 5S get one dot inside the house, none in the westerly back yard and 1 bar on the east front porch. The 6s gets two bars most of the time. But in 2013 that is what the Iphone 4 got. The Motozforce 2 has the best connection. It is a good phone. It looks like Verizon's service is grey in the bixby knolls area. I wonder if the change to Frontier for home service had something to do with it or if they are just saving power by using inferior equipment trying to take advantage of newer phones. If it is any use, all the other services are not too good here either. I get better reception on my central american farm in the wilderness.

For the past year w rate at 1 and 2 bars near Cal State Long Beach. Verizon coverage has been great for the past 6 or 7 years. They have no answer except to deny it’s anything on their side. My wife has the same issue and we checked with local neighbors. Everyone who has Verizon is seeing a large decrease in coverage for our area.

Verizon service continues to gradually degrade. 2019 has been the worst yet. Wasnt great before. Planned obsolescence as they try to phase in their 5g network. Texts get stuck in transmission about half the time.
