I've lived all over Long Beach for over 25 years. Sprint worked pretty nice. Then it dive bombed and has yet to make good on their lies about better coverage and the 4g LTE. Where I am now, worst reception ever. Especially with 4g and data. I'm in hell.

Poor signal in most of the area around the point. Complaining to Verizon has done no good for many years. After 18 years with Verizon, it may be time to try a different carrier.

1 bar maximum. Unsure whether it's my phone or Verizon carrier. I have a Samsung galaxy 4 - friends with iPhone and AT&T have no issue's in my apartment. I hate investing in another phone if it's a Verizon issue. Hmmmmm. I hate leaving Verizon but... ... ... .

Voice calling is ok, LTE data speed is absolutely miserable. 2-5mbps on the 15th floor of a building with a clear 360 degree view. May get up to 10mbps after 11-12pm. LTE Service at Long Beach airport is even worse. Less than 1mbps down. Verified this on 2 different devices. Absolutely miserable.

I have 3G Verizon service and recently have had NO cell reception at home in this area. I need to go outside to make a phone call, which is often inconvenient. When I try to call from inside, the call either does not go through or is immediately dropped. This is unacceptable, and I am currently looking at other options. I've been with Verizon for over 10 years and hate to switch, but I really have no choice right now. My girlfriend has AT&T and has not had these kinds of problems here.

Have lived in the marina for over 11 years and had Sprint (voice only) and Verizon (voice and data). Sprint was great, but needed data and was an early adopter of Verizon 1xRTT, 3G EVDO, and now 4G LTE technology. Verizon signal strength has definitely diminished over the years, but is still acceptable in this location. This could be due to bandwidth saturation and I suspect that phone / hotspot makers are decreasing antenna size and signal strength to compensate for this saturation and to promote longer battery life.
