When driving over Signal Hill, the Verizon signal drops about 75% I the time going soutbound on Cherry. Once you get to the bottom of Signal Hill the reception is fantastic due to a Tower being right there in the abandoned LBUSD Campus before you get to PCH.Was this review helpful to you?
I have tried AT&T Digital, AT&T GSM and Cingular. All of them just suck with hardly one bar. After moving to Verizon and seeing atleast 4 bars makes me feel like I struck gold. Was this review helpful to you?

Cingular / ATT GSM sucks. Almost no good reception with lots of missed calls and drop outs. Was this review helpful to you?
Service sucks - dropped calls daily from home - no improvement by going outdoors. This happened after upgrading - old Samsung phone worked betterWas this review helpful to you?
In the Los Angeles South Bay in general, Verizon does not have problems getting a signal. I have noticed problems whne in basements of large structures such as the first level at the Del Amo Mall (Burlington Coat Factory, JC Penney. No problems anywhere elseWas this review helpful to you?
Calls drop constantly in my house. Also have lots of call switching going on (ie I dial a number and get some totally unrelated person, while the person I am calling gets a call from someone they dont know at the same time!).Was this review helpful to you?

Regular drop outs. Switching to T-Mobile - get 6 - 7 bars. Was this review helpful to you?
I can use my phone in the basement of our building. Very happy we didn't buy T-Mobile.Was this review helpful to you?
The reception is terrible throughout La Palma and Cerritos. At home I can only make calls from an upstairs bedroom with the phone antenna touching the window. This is the third phone I've had on this plan and they have all been bad. Even after having the phone software updated at the Sprint store on several occasions the reception is still poor. Was this review helpful to you?
I had AT&T and switched over to T-Mobile. T-Mobile has the absolute worst reception in this area. The V300 phone is great as far as clarity and features but useless with a poor provider. I went with some cheap Verizon Nokias and have full bars-consistently. Phone features and sound isnt the greatest with Verizon however the reception has been flawless. Was this review helpful to you?
