1 bar maximum. Unsure whether it's my phone or Verizon carrier. I have a Samsung galaxy 4 - friends with iPhone and AT&T have no issue's in my apartment. I hate investing in another phone if it's a Verizon issue. Hmmmmm. I hate leaving Verizon but... ... ... .Was this review helpful to you?
Voice calling is ok, LTE data speed is absolutely miserable. 2-5mbps on the 15th floor of a building with a clear 360 degree view. May get up to 10mbps after 11-12pm. LTE Service at Long Beach airport is even worse. Less than 1mbps down. Verified this on 2 different devices. Absolutely miserable. Was this review helpful to you?
My phone drops off along Artesia on either side of Orange. And into the neighborhood south towards Grant Elementary. Was this review helpful to you?
I have 3G Verizon service and recently have had NO cell reception at home in this area. I need to go outside to make a phone call, which is often inconvenient. When I try to call from inside, the call either does not go through or is immediately dropped. This is unacceptable, and I am currently looking at other options. I've been with Verizon for over 10 years and hate to switch, but I really have no choice right now. My girlfriend has AT&T and has not had these kinds of problems here. Was this review helpful to you?

Sprint is garbage! Metro PCS gets better service than Sprint! Was this review helpful to you?
I just moved to Long Beach after many years in the San Fernando Valley. Up until now, I have NEVER had issues with my cell reception. Now I'm going to have to make a change, because my phone is not just for texting and taking pics! Every time I attempt a phone call, it's a struggle because of all the crackling noises and dropped calls. I am not really a direct T-Mobile customer, but my provider, Simple Mobile is using their towers, as is MetroPCS. I'guess I'll be scouring the internet for a solution, because this is not working for me! And oh yeah... I have a brand new phone that I love and it's 4G LTE.Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint claims to have improved their service but simply can't keep up with the reputation of the other big cellular company. I lived a block away from a cell tower and still couldn't get 4G data signal and later the 4G LTE signal Sprint claimed to offer. At that point they were charging me close to $200 a month for 3 lines that got poor service. The part that irks me the most of this company is that they were charging an extra $10 a month for "premium data per line" for a couple of months for unavailable "premium data" in our metropolitan area. Is it even legal to charge for a service you can't even provide? Sprint was sued in regard of the surcharges they impose. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT give Sprint your money. Was this review helpful to you?
I switched from Verizon to AT&T, not because of poor service but because I needed a GSM phone for work abroad. Before switching from Verizon, I had to go into my front yard in order to get a Verizon signal. Now, with AT&T, I consistently get 2-3 out of 5 bars on an iPhone. While some people would consider that average or poor, I don't. With AT&T, I can talk and surf the web at the same time (couldn't do that with Verizon). In my travels around town, I have yet to find a spot where I did not have any service, although sometimes I had only 1 bar of service. Was this review helpful to you?
