Always have outstanding reception with Verizon at home and most places in LA. I almost never experience dropped calls or other reception or connectivity issues. This is also the case in the other Metro-areas I frequent (NY, SF, Detroit)Was this review helpful to you?
In my house, by the Bolsa Chica wetlands, there is only 1 bar showing... on a good day.Was this review helpful to you?
Usually one bar. If I take it in the bathroom with me goes completly out of reception. Was this review helpful to you?

Used to have great reception with AT&T. Since Cingular took over, I have noticed a steady decline in reception. Calls drop very frequently now, and I never used to drop them berfore. I used to be able to make calls within my house; now I have no signal. Time to switch carriers. Cingular is pretty bad.Was this review helpful to you?
Cingular is working very well here. I've tried them all, and Verizon is probably the best, but Cingular is a close 2nd. It seems that Long Beach is a bit spotty in coverage with Sprint and ATT, although not unusable - sometimes one house over or across the street makes the difference. Was this review helpful to you?
This is the corner of the cemetary and every single time I take the phone out to make a call at that corner, it just goes no bar and drops calls if I am in conversation. The thing with Nextel is that, for the most part, the service is good, but as soon as you hit a dead spot, drops the call and gets five bars two seconds later. What the hell? It is still way better than AT&T and T-Mobile...Was this review helpful to you?
Luckily, the weather is almost always nice in Orange County, because I have to go outside to make and receive calls here. (It's a stark contrast to my other home in Santa Barbara, where the Sprint signal strength has been exceptional)Was this review helpful to you?
I've had T-Mobile for over a year and have been satisfied both with the coverage and the customer service. Much better than what I got from ATT. There is a dead spot in Signal Hill and you can't always get a signal if you're anchored off Catalina away from Avalon. Aside from good call quality, the T-Zone service is very good. I can even send and receive emails via my ISP's email accounts anywhere in their service area. Was this review helpful to you?
When driving over Signal Hill, the Verizon signal drops about 75% I the time going soutbound on Cherry. Once you get to the bottom of Signal Hill the reception is fantastic due to a Tower being right there in the abandoned LBUSD Campus before you get to PCH.Was this review helpful to you?
