Verizon

Normally, the reception here is OK. But when the winds pick up, Verizon seem to lose its antenna that services this area. Twice in several months I've lost reception for more than a week at a time. Customer service doesn't understand the problem and tries to blame it on my phone. The Verizon store in the mall confirmed that there is a problem which affects certain phone numbers in this area, but refused to help me out in any capacity at all. Verizon really needs to figure out how to fix its antennae.

Poor reception here at all times, both in coming and outgoing. Also poor when calling from near downtown L.A. to this location.

Never a problem with reception throught the Valley and all of L.A. Some problems going through the Santa Monica mountains to get to Malibu, but overall I'm quite pleased.

I left AT&T after years of dropped calls and poor (or no) reception. I live on the edge of Tujunga, CA and travel the 210 Frwy daily. I have two LG VX6100 phones with later firmware. Of interest: I get better west bound 210 (La Tuna thru the 118 Freeway) reception / signal than I did with AT&T. Much fewer dropped calls, etc. East Bound, from the Angeles Crest exit into Pasadena is 'often' good but seems to be very intermittent. The 'Foothill' exit (or Berkshire E / B) is spotty. Pasadena at Lake and Hill seem fine either way but once east of Pasadena on the 210 the reception is absolutely poor on both phones. There is a background noise that seems persistent and obtrusive. Feedback is bad. I have this poor reception all the way to Sunflower (or from Sunflower). I've called the 'team' at Verizon but they could give a hoot. None of the Cellular phone companies really want to excel. They ONLY want our money. They, with due understanding, must fight those who don't want towers 'in their back yards' and government rules, etc, and the increase in DATA flow, but their advertisements are more than misleading, they are lies!

AFter leaving Nextel and going to Cingular I was very disappointed. Phone didn't work AT ALL in my apartment. They switched my phone 3 times, it didn't make a difference. I wrote nasty letters, called, screamed, complained for 6 months. they wouldn't let me cancel my contract. I endured my phone dropping every call or not ringing at all for a long time. Mysteriously one day, the dropped calls stopped and everthing is fine now. They are MFers.

I love my coverage provider! I love the LG cell phones I have had! Dropped calls???... sure, I have had some... but not even enough to complain about! I, personally, have had Verizon for nearly 4 years now... and swear up and down by it. In my family we have had it for 5 yrs... and no one wants to switch. They have the "New Every 2" plan thats always allows me great options. And I have found their customer service to be excellent!

Good reception, but very pricey. Charge late fee even though I pay upfront sometimes... I'm looking for a more resonably priced phone

Reception seems ok but calls get constantly dropped, cannot find an explanation.

For Cingular saying they are the only network that does not drop calls, is a total lie. There has been many times when I have been trying to place a call and had no good reception or calls did not go through. I am very unhappy about this.
