AT&T

Been with the Company ever since 2000 Great Reception Everywhere. Had a few Problems with the Phones but were always solved in an instant by customer service. My Fiance got a Verizon phone and her Reception sucks around San Fernando Valley, Calls get dropped every 4-5 minutes. Changed her over to Cingular and got us a Family Plan. And now everything is Perfect.

I always get poor- to no-service inside my house -- I have to go outside to get just a couple of bars. After reading some of the other reviews here, I'm jumping over to Sprint and see how that does.

T-mobile is the absolute worst. I get poor to no reception all over the valley. it's awful. I called T-Mobile to complain and the operator said, "well, that's what happens with cell phones - they go in and out of coverage areas... " this is driving me nuts. thanks for giving me a place to rant!

My wife has one of those Nokia phones with the round keypad and she gets perfect reception here. My blackberry and any other cigular phone I use here get's horrible reception. I'll be lucky to get 2 bars.

Every 5 minutes and 03 seconds into a call I get disconnected. I contacted customer service through my cell phone, and it took so long to find the right option that at exactly 5 minutes and 03 seconds into the call, right when the rep was telling me that I needed to call from a land line and was giving me the phone number to call... I was disconnected again! When I finally reached a service technician, I was informed that they are currently upgrading the infrastructure in the area, and that I may have problems with disconnected calls all the way through December 2005. All customer service reps were nice, courteous and helpful, but I am not sure that I can wait that long...

In the residential areas north of Devonshire to the 118 Fwy between Mason and Topanga the reception is bad.

Reception with AT&T was already bad, but the merger with Cingular made everything worse. One to two bars, several dropped calls daily. In this night alone, I experienced 5 dropped calls within 20 minutes, 2 of which were with the technical support reps at Cingular! I called to complain and was disconnected twice! They had to call me back themselves! HORRIBLE SERVICE. I find the reception is terrible throughout the Valley and Los Angeles: at the 405 near the Wilshire exits, along the 101 at Laurel Canyon exit, driving north on Woodman, driving north on Van Nuys. BUYER BEWARE. I can't wait to get out of this contract!

From Ventura Blvd. to the top of Mulholland signal is spotty and you will ultimately lose signal at least once in this one mile drive area. From Mulholland south to the city, you will lose signal just past Nicada.

This is just one of the bad spots for VZW, coming down or going up Sepulveda from Mulholland or from Ventura Blvd. you lose signal a couple of times.

In the hills near Mulholland. Hit and miss inside. I have line of sight across the valley but the signal is still lousy.
