AT&T Wireless (GSM)

Starts to break up going northbound on Arleta approaching Osborne and drops everytime until I pass Van Nuys Blvd.

One spot in the house has 3 bars, the rest nothing. Constant stream of dropped calls, missing calls, and even with 3000 minutes went over due to dropped calls. Nextel has 5 bars in the entire area. So-long T-Mobile!

The signal is poor in this area. There is almost no signal indoor. My company's phone (Verizon) has a better signal (even indoor).

Just switched from Cingular (which had NO signal in this area!) to Verizon which has SOME signal - ranging from 0-3 bars. Kept waiting for Cingular to improve their signal in the area, but it never happened. AT&T is lousy here, too. Verizon's signal isn't great, but it's better than Cingular and AT&T!

Signal constantly goes up and down from 0 to 4 bars (max) within a 1-minute period. Some incoming calls are lost, while others are kept; keep in mind that this is INDOORS facing South with a headset on. Overall, good to excellent service outdoors. Customer service is great, 411 is awesome, the Motorola phone is awesome, I just wish the indoor reception was a tad stronger so I can count on not losing a customer here and there (I run a business from the phone and some people lose patience because our call gets chopped up and we have to try and reconnect again). The free incoming calls plan has saved my bacon many a time especially when dealing with sheer volume of minutes used, and/or 'cell spam' advertisers or people I don't want to talk to. Although I will be trying T-Mobile this weekend, I can't seem to find a better provider, all have their limitations.

Calls disconect, voice cuts, no reception at all in most cases.

If you live in or around Chatsworth - Lake Manor between Plummer / Roscoe and around the reservoir, Verizon is 1 to 2 bars in spots and 0 bars around most homes. I was on Sprint and never had a connection drop. My whole family (around the country) switched to Verizon and I went with them. I'm going to try the LG VX6000 or VX4600 because I heard its the best for poor reception areas. But, I still have my Sprint account and unless the LG phones are better, I will end up cancelling the Verizon.

Great receptilon. At the same time AT&T service on my on-call work phone has really bad receptions.

I keep listening to Verizon's advertisement "Can You Hear Me Now"... Well, in our neighborhood of Sherman Oaks, CA, namely South of Valley Vista going in the direction of Mulholland Drive in a canyon, Verizon reception is TERRIBLE in capital letters... I have called and called and called Verizon and all they tell me is that we are not in a good area for reception. What there advertisement should really read is "can you hear me now" except for certain areas that have one bar or less in reception! T-Mobile gets good reception in this area and so does Sprint so why can't the "Great Verizon" get the same reception?

Take reseda north past Rinaldi and as soon as you are about 1/3 the way up the hill you get no reception at all. This area seems to be plagued with RF noise because we get poor reception with my Wireless Cable Router within the house as well.
