Verizon
100% dropped calls from this location. Verizon refused to acknowledge any such problem for most of my 2 years.

I live in the Deercreek community (valley) in Alpine. The reception is fantastic! Even further down the hill, in Harbison Canyon the reception is outstanding. That being said, I believe it is more of a reflection of the phone (Motorola E815), not necessarily the Verizon service.

I almost always drop any call coming to my house on Cinnabar. Sometimes the phone does not even ring. This is difficult for me as I work from home a lot, and need my phone. Verizon refuses to acknowledge that there is a problem. I switched from Sprint as soon as my contract was up due to same problem and same denial of problem by Sprint. This was a problem when I lived on Sunrise near the Village of La Mesa. Also when I got to my office on Mount Helix near the Brigantine. Drops every time. The worst is not being able to rely on my phone whatsoever in my home. Solution anyone?

I get maybe 2-3 bars max when I'm outside, on campus. If I'm in class, or in the science buildings, I get no reception! My phone is constantly searching for service, while draining my battery! Now I have to carry my phone charger and charge my phone, everywhere I go! It's a complete hassle! Plus, I have one of the express cards for internet, and since I have no reception, I can't even use the internet! What a waste! Cell phone providers, need to figure out a way to boost up cell phone signals for college students, so they can actually use their cell phones! Rather than just carry a brick around class to class.

Zero to 2 bars. Updated roaming online and software in the store with no change. Calls break up and drop ALL THE TIME! We have 4 phones. Tested on all of them, some brand new. Verizon claims cell tower signal is good for my location and recommends standing outside my house (doesn't make a differnece) or spending $400.00 for an amplifier solution! My days of 2 year contracts are over.

This company has always had excellent service and coverage, until around May or June everything just started going downhill. Cross talking, voice quality, dropped calls in areas where calls were never dropped. Just over all very poor call quality. I have noticed this all over San Diego. Having a clear pleasant conversation with someone anywhere is a thing of the past! The times I have gone in a talked to techs at the stores they never know what I'm talking about. By the way, my friends here in East Co. are also having the same complaints. I'm so temped to change to another service.

I've been repeatedly calling cingular / ATT about poor reception in the San Carlos area for over a year. We live on a mesa, so there are no hillsides blocking (like in a valley) or tall bldgs. Consistently we get from zero to 3 bars, rarely 4, and never 5. Over 90% of the time its nearly impossible to carry out a conversation. We've had to repeatedly use land lines instead. We even upgraded both our phones to current models in an attempt to help the problem (at the suggestion of Cingular), but it did not. Recently I was told they are upgrading tower service in the area, and tried to switch us to something called a "blue" tower network (whatever that means), but that didnt solve the problem. I've gotten better reception (5 bars) in the elevator of my office downtown, and in Yosemite valley, of all places!
