AT&T

I have AT&T for two years now and I have never had a problem with them as far as reciption goes. I had an iPhone 5s and now a iPhone 6 Plus and the coverage is excellent on both devices. The download and uploads speeds are extermely fast. I always have LTE coverage at home with 4-5 bars at all times. I use to have Verizon and when I did in this area. My calls would drop and sometimes my text messages would fail and not send. Some of the time in this area when I had Verizon my text messages would come in delayed because of the recpition. Switching to AT&T was honestly the best choice and I strongly recomend it if you live in the clairemont mesa / balboa avenue area just because it is reliable and you would have the best service 24 / 7.

I switched from Verizon to AT&T about a year ago, and couldn't be happier. No more dropped calls at my house! No problems anywhere else either!

In outside sales. Use Verizon. Never had a dropped call or spotty reception. Always reliable in San diego. Believe me, I use 13gb of data oer month and make hundreds of phone call. It's always done me good. work will no longer pay cell bill so I need to put in my name. Considering options and I think I will stick with verizon.

Verizon use to be great but right now I have my cell phone in the window and still only have 1 / 2 a bar. All the neighbors are complaining about Failed text messages. In the last 15 years I have never had a failed text but over the past few months I get at least three a night. About ready to switch here real soon. Thank goodness I still have a land line.

Most of Coronado allows me to get decent reception, but once on the naval base LTE pretty much disappears. I find my phone constantly searching or in no service areas especially where I work all day so I am not able to receive calls or text messages. Upstairs in the building I work I am lucky to get maybe 1 bar of 4G but only if I'm near the window. T-Mobiles coverage map says there signal is excellent in the area I work but as all have stated it is not the case.

I live in the middle of PB and most of the time I get 1 bar. In my garage I get nothing. Sometimes I get 2 bars and when I do a data test then, I get less than 1Mbit when it works which is not often. Out in Poway where I work, I get 30+Mbit

Calls drop within a few seconds. There is almost no reception. We had to get a land line to use from home and texting is little better. Sometimes I do not get texts until the day after they were sent. Verizon works well almost everywhere else. I have traveled all over the US and never had such poor reception unless it is a very remote area. My neighborhood is in the heart of San Diego. We have hills and this is the problem. Still you would think there could be a solution.

4G is very spotting and usually switches to 3G which is also spotty at my home. Even when connected to 4G with full bars in areas with good reception, the connection feels very slow, has trouble streaming YouTube videos. As for Sprint's customer service, HORRIBLE! Employees in their stores (and I've been to multiple different ones) are all rude and complete idiots. They know nothing about the devices, nothing about fixing issues, and don't really care to be bothered to help. Bad connection quality and even worse customer service is making me move from Sprint to another carrier. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Overall, good reception and rare dropped calls. This wasn't the case a few years ago, but coverage has improved.
