Sprint

No data connectivity 95% of the time. If you live or work in this or surrounding areas, stay away from Sprint!

I moved to the area two years ago and initially the reception was fine until last year. Now I get intermittent calls (incoming / outgoing) when I'm on the 3rd floor of my home. I have to go down to the 1st floor to make a call but most of the time the chances of the reception getting lost within a few minutes of the call are 95%. Verizon hasn't been very helpful, they don't seem to want to help as Sprint did for their customers who lived in the same complex. They promote 4g and know that canyons tend to have spotty reception yet have not done anything to resolve it. Customers shouldn't have to invest additional money for a network extender.

Switched to T-Mobile from Verizon. Reception with Verizon in this area was amazing, period. However, I switched for reasons that did *not* have to do with reception. I knew reception levels were going to suffer, and I was right, but it's not "that" bad, honestly. I live right in the middle of a 3-story apartment complex where it's admittedly difficult for any cell signal to penetrate. While on Verizon I was able to get an LTE signal anywhere in the house, with T-Mobile I am only able to get HSPA / HSPA+. And that's by the window / balcony; if I'm deeper in the house, I usually can't even hold a signal (voice or data). Once I leave the apartment complex, my signal jumps to full-strength LTE almost immediately, and generally stays there unless I go deep within another building. Bottom line: it's not perfect reception, but given the cost savings (and other benefits that I won't go into, here) over Verizon, I'm absolutely satisfied with it. Maybe over time, technology will improve that will allow their signals to better penetrate buildings.

No reception at all, internet or phone, in the place I just moved to yesterday in Rolando (near College and Stanley). I can't wait until I get my new phone and switch to T-Mobile next week. Sprint and galaxy s3 a joke. I have spotty reception if I go outside, none at all inside my new place. Sucks too because I moved from being under flight path and had bad internet signal then too.

Boost Mobile aka Sprint coverage maps state that I have full reception at my home near Aero Dr. and Sandrock Rd, not true at all. Dropped calls, missed calls, the 3G is worse than dial-up. I also travel to Ramona 92065 alot and find full reception without the ability to talk or send txt : / Several Sprint towers are there, so I don't understand the probem.

At work in Oceanside, my reception is spotty. At home in San Diego, it's great! I don't know if it's my Galaxy S3, but my gps NEVER works. On the iPhone 4S and Droid X the gps is perfectly fine.

After 13 years being with Sprint and getting 20% reception (data, text, calls) I was forced to get an additional line: Verizon. I'll tell you, I've EXCELLENT reception for everything all over the County, no matter what I am. Also when I travel to Mexico I can use the phone to make calls (under international plan) with absolute clarity. The bill is quite higher but this carrier is absolutely reliable. Customer service is great and the bill is so easy to understand, it has per line charges. HIGHLY recommend it.

I've 5 lines with Sprint and my friends also have Sprint. We live in different parts: Encanto 92114, Bonita, Imperial Beach, 92154, Chula Vista 91910. NONE of us have reception, we drop calls 80% of the time, data is almost not existing, we often don't receive calls or aren't capable to send / receive texts. We've Note II, S4, S4 Mini, S3, I phone 5s, Motorola Photon. The Airave is obsolete since even the antena sitting outside in the middle of the yard can't lock in GPS. I was forced to get a another line with Verizon so I could communicate with our customers. What a HUGE difference, we've reception EVERY WHERE (Even in remote areas, we can also use the phone when we go to Mexico and works perfect), bill is more expensive but what good does it make to pay for unlimited data if you can't ever use it?
