Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. On the rare occassion I get a bar, my service fluctuates as if trying to trick me into thinking I can make a call from my house. Elsewhere it is okay, but at home... no luck.

Great Phone, Great reception. 5 Bars all the time, and I'm really picky on not getting a dropped call. Verizon has the service, I've used others and they are not really into client - customer service like Verizon is.

Frustration level: 5 Reception Rating: 1 Cingular drops calls consistantly. Can't wait till my contract is up.

Heading North on SR163, and taking off ramp to I-805 north, drop calls. Problem used to be with Cingular, now Cingular is solid, Verizon drops.

If coming fm Miramesa driving on SR Blvd, drop calls at Weatherhill. However, if call is originated in the area and then driving to Spring Canyon, no drop calls.

Service sucks on the south side of Mt. Soledad. Driving up Soledad Mtn. Rd, I lose calls starting at Middleton Rd. all the way up to about Palomino Circle. I can't even take calls at home, I just look to see who is calling - if it even rings - then I call them back on my land line. Super lame, my husband get's a little better coverage with Cingular (he was former AT&T)

Sometimes I get reception, but most of the time I don't. If my phone rings, I don't even answer it, I just look to see who's calling and call them back on my landline. Very lame. My wife has Verizon and she has even worse coverage than me.

recently have been 'switched' every morning to Telemex -- seems that either TMobile has screwed up local towers in Point Loma, or Telemex is sending out some powerful new signals from 28 miles to the south in TJ!

Have Cingular TDMA service (formerly ATT), and I can use it in only one room in my house, if I keep perfectly still. I have my cell phone chair. I had switched to the more modern GSM service with a Sanyo phone and I got zero service at my house, and lousy service throughout Southern Calif. With GSM, I could not use it in a moving car, as the signal would drop consistently while driving. So I switched back to the much more reliable TDMA service. Other than my house, it actually gets excellent reception around San Diego, LA, Colorado and wherever I travel around the US. I'll stick with it until I'm convinced GSM service has improved.
