Verizon

If I do get any reception, it is 1 (one) bar. Verizon says thay can't do anything about it. Calls get dropped while I sit in my office

Sprint

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Fairmount | Camino Del Rio South, San Diego, CA 92108 |

Get more dropped calls with Sprint than anyone I know. Normal Heights, Kensington, Mission Hills, by the airport, just about anywhere in Metro San Diego this reception is horrible. Had phone checked out and supposedly nothing wrong with it. Contract up with Sprint but trying to figure who has best reception before I sign again. Any suggestions?

AT&T

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Calle Cristobal / Mira Mesa | Camino Santa Fe, San Diego, CA 92126 |

It is like a rollercoster ride when you are driving in this area. Reception goes up and down and it never ends when you are in that part of town. The phone I have now gets way better reception than my other phones (Moto V600, SE Z600, SE 500A). But if you are shopping for service, getting Cingular is still better than getting T-Mobile because for them, you get nothing in the area. I had T-Mobile for a year, made numerous calls to the CS to let them know there is a problem with the coverage zone, but they did not made the improvement at all. So after a year, I finally switched back to Cingular / ATT. My suggestion fro driving thru the area is to use a headset, I have found out that because the phone gets to stay at a stationary place when you are using your headset, it is less likely for you to loose the signal, at least in my case, it work. Well, good luck on the rollercoster!

Verizon

3 Out of 5 (3 stars) | Tierrasanta, San Diego, CA 92124 |

Contrary to a previous user's review, Verizon in my home in Tierrasanta is perfect. I don't get full bars, but I never get dropped calls and always have service. The voice quality is excellent. Don't blame the service... blame the phone.

Verizon

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Tierrasanta Area | All, San Diego, CA 92124 |

Tierrasanta has sketchy service with Verizon in most areas of Tierrasanta... so much so that it is a running joke... when I am talking to people... call lost... the first words when we are finally reconnected is "You must be in Tierrasanta". I have traveled extensively in the US and get service everywhere but my home in Tierrasanta... what's with that?

T-Mobile

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | Suburbs, San Diego, CA 92105 |

I used to have a very old Nokia and the reception was bad.. But I believe it was mainly due to my old phone since I dropped it a lot. Then I got a new phone, the Samsung SGH-E315. Reception is usually consistent (usually 5), although once in a while it would be 2-4. I've never gotten disconnected, except for one time when there was a giant storm in San Diego back in January. T-Mobile has excellent service. My friend who has cingular, would get disconnected every 15 minutes. I'm glad that T-Mobile (formerly Voicestream) exists. All my friends use T-Mobile now! Not only because of free mobile to mobile, but the reception is amazing! :D

Sprint

2 Out of 5 (2 stars) | Towne Centre Dr. | La Jolla Village Dr., San Diego, CA 92121 |

Terrible area. If you are north of La Jolla Village Dr.on Towne Centre Drive, the call drops. You have to be in the right spot to get reception. And there is significant commerce in this area.
