I get quite a few dropped calls, system busy signals, call failure when trying to dial and answer. Overall I would say Verizon is a very poor provider no matter how they rate with consumer reports and JD powers. I had ATT GSM before and will most certainly go back when my contract expires. They offered MUCH better service.

I just switched to the Nokia 6820 from the Motorola T-720. The reception in my house improved noticebly. I used to have many dropped calls and times when I had no service with the Motorola T-720. With the Nokia, I'm much more satisfied. I think it's a combination of the phone and the fact that AT&T and Cingular are now sharing towers.

Service is GREAT compared to my previous phone, v60i -- have service practically ANYWHERE now, even in places that my v60i would be DEAD! it's perfect -- i absolutely LOVE it!

This is one of the most crowded areas on UCSD campus, but apparently NO ONE gets reception in there...I wonder why.

Calls will drop 4 times from Torrey Pines Road to Governor Dr. & Genesee in University City. Very annoying. Now that my contract is up, I will be leaving Cingular because of dropped calls, poor reception and static, or no coverage in areas where Verizon has coverage.

AT&T reception throughout La Jolla and on and around Mt. Soledad is abominable. Either the connection does not go through at all or disconnects in less than 30 seconds. If you live in La Jolla I do not recommend purchasing AT&T service. When I called to discuss it, the customer service people repeatedly deny that there is any problem at all. THey claim I am the first to call on this. However, my friends no longer carry AT&T for this very reason. And I will be changing soon, as well,
