My husband signed up with Sprint at the beginning of the year. He went into the Sprint store at 26861 Aliso Creek Road, Aliso Viejo, CA; after several hours where he disclosed that he was a British citizen here for work and would be traveling out of the country to place including but not limited to China, South Korea, Russia, Germany and the United Kingdom the store representative assured him that he would be able to use his phone. A few weeks went by and he went on his first trip to China and everything was fine. However, the second trip he made to Russia the customer service representative told him that because he hadn’t been with Sprint for more than 18 months he would not be able to use his phone in Russia. With no other options he left the country without a phone. He was only back in the states two weeks before leaving for Germany and when he called the international line they indicated that he wouldn’t be able to use his phone in Germany because his spending limit was not high enough to allow it. My husband offered to put more money down but that didn’t satisfy the Sprint rep so again he left the country without an operable phone. When he got back into the states he called to talk to a Sprint customer service rep again in which the person indicated we could jail break his phone (which would void his warranty on a very new phone) but that since Germany and Europe as a whole is on a different phone system there wasn’t anything Sprint could do. So I told my husband I would help and call Sprint’s customer service and wait on hold to get one single point answer. When the first gentleman picked up he refused to listen to anything I had to say repeatedly cutting me off with no concern for what the true issue was. So I then asked to be transferred to his manager. After explicitly detailing all the issues we’d be having the woman had no answer and said that she would have to call me back after talking to international help desk. After several hours someone else called me back and these were her options: 1. They could run a credit check and get the spending limit removed – to which I explained that there would be no credit history since it’s still locked in Britain and that he had said that initially which is why he was originally on a spending capped account OR 2. We could look into dealing with a prepaid phone to go overseas – which is ridiculous because my husband has an Iphone that he does a lot of his work with and utilizes with his company and the amount we would have to invest in a prepaid phone which be outrageous not to mention that you can’t put a lump sum on prepaid phones that would amount to what he needs to use when he’s out of the country (Our bill from China was almost $900) Because they have provided the “options” Sprint is refusing to waive our cancellation fee and return our deposit. The person in the Sprint store mislead the information provide, the customer service team refuses to take responsibility for their store employees. And after asking to speak wither her manager, she informed me that she was the last stop and that I may not like what I’m hearing but that’s too bad and all she can do is apologize for what the person in store told my husband. Bottom line – Sprint’s phone service is pretty shoddy and so is their customer service.Was this review helpful to you?
My reception has gotten so bad over the past month that my cell phone is useless at home. people do not hear me at all. I have called AT&T several times and they "don't see anything wrong" other than the fact that they had to call me back on my land line to tell me that! I am leaving AT&T as soon as the new iPhone is out!Was this review helpful to you?
As some others have mentioned my service worked just fine until suddenly in May this year we were unable to make a call from inside our home.You can usually get a call out, but they could rarely hear you and it would cut out shortly. People trying to call me go straight to voicemail. I can text from inside our home, but if I want to text photos or call someone I have to go outside. I'm not sure what the sudden change was, and with a new baby and insane heat I haven't been able to wait through their hold times outside to find out. Have TMobile... . I moved to San Clemente last year and got the 3G right then. It's been a year and service at my house is unbearable! Year left on my contract still, got to figure a way out of it. I need a new provider :( arrrg!Was this review helpful to you?

I never get more than 2 bars reception in my condo. Talk quality is a bit low with a small amount of static. The only place I can't talk on the phone is in the kitchen downstairs. If I do it either starts to break up bad or just drops the call completely. I used to never get dropped calls but I seem to be getting a few of those from time to time now since about the begining of this year. There is almost no 4G coverage in this area for Sprint atleast. I just use Wifi anyways so it's not a big deal. I wish Sprint had more towers down here. I would go to another provider but I feel they might all be in the same boat for this area. Sprint is acceptable for now... barely.Was this review helpful to you?

Poor to no reception starting aprox 1 month ago may2012- June 2012. Only reason I went with ATT here is cause it worked flawlessly. I am lucky to be able to send, receive a call or text what so ever as of the last few weeks. Atleast I know Sprint still works amazingly well here in my own home. might need to switch over. Critical for my cell to work at home for work and not having a land line. Not "testing" reception with this phone... Ive been using this phone and worked great. Friends on AT&T come over and get nothing as well. ONLY as of RECENT. was thinking of switching everything over to ATT cable, phone internet, everything... . but wont be happening ever. I'm paying for something which I cant cancel without huge fees but they can remove any if not all service from me and still require me to pay either a monthly service fee or crazy cancellation fee cause they cant "maintain" there cell service (worked great before. just not now.Was this review helpful to you?
Constant poor reception. Thankfuly no emergency has occurred. I will be furious if this phone allows for the harm of one of my friends or family members.Was this review helpful to you?
