AT&T
Always very poor reception. Have to stand outside to even attempt a call.

My phone works but I usually tell people I will call them back from a land line because of poor reception. Home is the only place in Orange Co. and LA Co. that I frequent that has poor reception with Verizon. I have found the opposite to be true with At&t. That is, at home AT&T works well, but drops calls between my house and business in Long Beach.

have to drive 4 blocks from house and can not send text messages unless you're outside and then phone service is poor

Erratic 0-3 bars, drops calls, reception cuts out in the house and outside. It is especially risky to move around during a call - that doesn't work well at all. AT&T should be avoided if you're in this area.

AT&T has terrible service in south county. if you live or work in this area, don't go with AT&T. Hope Verizon cuts a deal with Apple for the iPhone

No reception what so ever. If I do get a bar and my phone rings by the time I go to answer it I have lost service. This is horrible as this is my phone I have to have for work and I get 0 service.

Cannot make or receive calls in my house or even in the middle of my street - unbelievable... Even got a new Samsung SGH-T339 so I could have service through my home Wi-Fi (casble internet) service but THAT's not even reliable... maybe one bar and then it drops back to 'searching' for network YUCK !

Usually I have to go outside to connect. At night, upstairs on second floor, I can get some reception but it's sketchy... connects and then beep and "LOST CALL" display. Lost it where? I didn't move a muscle and other party didn't move either. Verizon Wireless engineer drove my neighborhood at request of City comm engineer. Admitted reception (RX) very poor, but no real plans to expand coverage equipment in next 2 years. I'm considering adding a Femtocell antenna that uses High-speed cable Internet connectivity as booster antenna. Like having a cellular dish in your house. $100-$200 for equipment if you already have HSI.
