T-Mobile
I have been a tolerant T-Mobile customer for 2.1 / 2 years. I have a great plan, but only get 1 / 2 my calls, and have to keep accessing my voice mail because of it. I get 2 bars reception at Home (Shaw and Maroa 93704) and almost NO reception at work (Willow and North 93725) I see about a 20% drop call rate at Home and about 80% at Work, and I have seen no improvement in 2.1 / 2 yrs. BTW this has really kept my minutes down. lol. Other than that it seems to work good around town (Fresno). I am looking to switch to a more reliable carrier (probably Verizon). Probably a bit more expensive, but if it means I get to use my phone as a phone again (instead of a pager with voice mail) it will be worth it.

I have been an AT&T customer since 2002. At that time, it was TDMA which I believe it was way better than the GSM currently run by Cingular. Since then, I have had more dropped calls and my conversation seem to break up a lot more. The only reason why I stay with AT&T is the mobile to mobile and rollover minutes which really help a lot on my minutes usage. But, overall the reception is not as good as before. I tried T-Mobile for about two days, but it there is no service in the foothills. I have heard nothing but good things about Verizon when it comes to call quality, but you get the least amount of minutes for the money.

Ive had Verizon for about 5 years, heard from some that AT&T was good, so I switched and it was the worst 2 years of phone service I have ever had. I went back to Verizon and I will never switch again. Service is great everywhere.

Since I had to upgrade my SIM card to the new 64K Smartchip, my reception has been worse. No signal in outlying areas, where it used to be fine. Often now calls have a lot of static as well.

The service is bad all over Fresno, and Clovis. I have nation wide service. ( If I can call out.) I can receive calls from any place. but most all calls drop or fade. I don't think it is right. that a person has to pay $150.00 to cancel a service that is bad. If anyone is thinking of getting Sprint for there service. my advice is DON'T.

I never got service in my house. Now I can't get it anywhere near my place, and I get disconnected everywhere in Berkeley.

I never get reception or no signal at all at this cross street. Apparently, there is new housing construction in this neighborhood. I contacted customer service and describe the problems. I gave them the zip code where I was at. They indicated that they have service in that area. However, I explained them that there was no signal in this area or street locations. all they said was "we do show service in that area." Bogus! I'm going to can T-Mobile after my service is up.

Since the merge to Cingular I've had more dropped calls than I've never had since I've been with AT&T beginning 1996. Most recently, I'm now experiencing my calls going straight to voicemail for no apparent reason. I called 611 and they said it is a known issue and they are working to fix the problem. My reception has also worsened, half of the time the calls get broken up to where I can only hear like every 5th word when using my phone. It sucks!
