Good coverage in the Canyon on the west side of Hwy. 92. Had Verizon before and coverage was so bad they let me out of my contract. Was this review helpful to you?
There is NO SIGNAL in my Brittan Heights apt using Verizon. I am about to switch, I tested out other friends phones and both TMobile and SprintPCS have service inside my apt. The drive from Edgewood / 280 to Brittan / Crestview is also very spotty using Verizon. I have notified Verizon and they are checking the area. Was this review helpful to you?
I have MetroPCS and it works outside in certain spots. on Linda Mar BLVD. it seems fine but once you get to the end you see the end of your 2 bars of hope. I really wish they would get service back there. but you get for what you pay I guess. the rest of pacifica seems ok along hwy 1.Was this review helpful to you?
Reception in this area is hit and miss. Better than two years ago, but still unacceptable. Is there a better carrier? Was this review helpful to you?
No problem throughout most of the coastside - except inside our house. No dropped calls yet. I've disabled roaming for now, so I don't get hit with huge roaming charges. Before disabling, it would often switch to roaming while inside the house. Was this review helpful to you?
Once I get to Everglades is when I start seeing bars. They claim that if I stand outside my house I should be able to make and receive calls, right! Only a one year contract so I switched over to Cingular. They're the only ones I've seen receive service back here. Was this review helpful to you?
Can not make a call from in my apartment (3rd floor) or outside from the landing or balcony. Reception is bad in most places in San Mateo and Burlingame where I have tried to make or receive a call. Most calls fail, are dropped, or are of such poor quality as to be unintelligable so that I have to hang up. Plan to return the phone but MetroPCS rule on returning the phone is less than 30 days use and less that 1 HOUR of use... I have used my phone for 1 hr. 8 min. 47 sec. (this total usage was for 33 calls... ) This was my first cell phone. Have had the phone 8 days. This "service" has reaffirmed everything I thought was true about cell phones. I need to find a plan that will work on the Peninsula especially along the 101 corridor. Was this review helpful to you?
I used to get an OK coverage from Cingular until they merged with AT&T. What's up with that? Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint has nearly no service in Half Moon Bay, El Granada, Moss Beach or the rest of the San Mateo Coast. Their Customer "Service" will gladly tell you they do have service in this area. However, I had dozens of dropped calls in two weeks, no data service, and no voicemail until I left and went to 280 or San Francisco. If you challenge Sprint, they'll say there is something wrong with your phone and won't allow for contract termination without a penalty. Highly disreputable telecom provider. Was this review helpful to you?
Too much bad reception / dropped calls. Battery life short due to phone switching in and out of service. Can't wait for my contract to end. Service / phone works fine in other parts of the country. Was this review helpful to you?
