Great outside... . sux in my apt, unless I'm at the window (or should I say HANGING OUT MY WINDOW). Anybody know if Helio works in San Mateo?

Zero bars inside my house, no connection. If I walk out to the street, I get 2-3 bars.

Calls are practically impossible inside, and there's a lot of interference making calls outside.

I have to stand by window to get 1-2 bars. Otherwise, no reception in apartment. I appreciate T-Mobile's signal strength map on their site and it helps to know where I can make calls.

Good coverage in the Canyon on the west side of Hwy. 92. Had Verizon before and coverage was so bad they let me out of my contract.

There is NO SIGNAL in my Brittan Heights apt using Verizon. I am about to switch, I tested out other friends phones and both TMobile and SprintPCS have service inside my apt. The drive from Edgewood / 280 to Brittan / Crestview is also very spotty using Verizon. I have notified Verizon and they are checking the area.

I have MetroPCS and it works outside in certain spots. on Linda Mar BLVD. it seems fine but once you get to the end you see the end of your 2 bars of hope. I really wish they would get service back there. but you get for what you pay I guess. the rest of pacifica seems ok along hwy 1.

Reception in this area is hit and miss. Better than two years ago, but still unacceptable. Is there a better carrier?

No problem throughout most of the coastside - except inside our house. No dropped calls yet. I've disabled roaming for now, so I don't get hit with huge roaming charges. Before disabling, it would often switch to roaming while inside the house.

Once I get to Everglades is when I start seeing bars. They claim that if I stand outside my house I should be able to make and receive calls, right! Only a one year contract so I switched over to Cingular. They're the only ones I've seen receive service back here.
