Verizon gives me four bars at home, and the connection is terrible. Calls are often filled with static, and will always drop in ten minutes or less. People will call me, and the phone won't ring. After repeatedly being made to do the re-programming dance by first line customer service, I finally convinced them to connect me to tier two. Tier two didn't even bother to ask what was wrong, they just told me that I had a "known issue" and that nothing would be done. The problems I have are consistent with failing equipment on the tower, not a bad connection (remember: 4 bars). Verizon has clearly decided that it won't be spending money to maintain it's San Mateo towers. Was this review helpful to you?
Why must I purchase a range extender to be plugged into my Comcast Network for my phone to work? If I get unacceptable service shouldn't the network device be provided, at least if they want to retain existing customers and not offer some ridiculous deal to lure us back in the future. Seems like a very shortsighted business practice. Was this review helpful to you?
Terrible in San Mateo from hotel on Winward as far as Caltrain station. Isn't this a major metropolitan area? Shouldn't Verizon have coverage here? Terrible. Was this review helpful to you?
Never have 4G reception. Dropped calls and 1-2 bars is the norm. Call quality is excellent but calls do get dropped or just nevr go through. Data is hit or miss. Moved from San Mateo / Fostr City border area where I never had reception issues. Very disappointed about the amount I pay per month (nearly $200 for unlimited text and data) to have such shoddy never 4G service. Considering giving up on cell phones altogether. Other companies don't look that great either. Was this review helpful to you?
Chose T-Mobile years ago because a) it works in and around my home, and b) customer service is quite good. Thinking of getting an iPhone when T-Mobile offers it, supposedly in 2013.Was this review helpful to you?
Sitting in the Whole Foods pkg lot, I received 4G-LTE,strong signal, November. Maybe the tower is close to the nearby San Mateo Police Station? Was this review helpful to you?

No coverage I hate this company so much. I would rather have no phone then have SprintWas this review helpful to you?
Sprint has been wonderful for the past two years I had my phone with them, all of a sudden their was no service at my house or anywhere in the back of the valley. I used to get coverage everywhere in this little town and now I never see the bars anymore. I called up Sprint one day and I get different problems from all of them; one person will tell me that their upgrading to 4g LTE and service will be disrupted. I will believe it when I see it and other people tell me we never got serive in pacifica their no towers! What? come on I had service a month ago so now for five week I have had no service at my house but they still expect me to play the bill. Sprint clams on its website its new locations for 4g has been announced but none of those locations list pacifica at all. The 4g that they even mention coming to the bay area is 4g wimax,(an old service that Sprint is still trying to provide but one two phones use that old service so what is the point). I switched from AT&T to Sprint because of it outages but this Sprint outage is worse and its not even getting fixed from what I know of, WTF?????Was this review helpful to you?
