I get 4 bars out of 5 when I am out of my house. 2 when I am in my bedroom and 3 when I am in my living room.

GSM does not suck. It's about what phone you get. Also need to pay someone to unlocked and upgrade fireware for you in order to use best service.

Lots of restaurants in this area, and you can't get any incoming calls when inside, as the outside's signal is very weak already... might be the phone though...

The combination of a weak T616 antenna and a weak Cingular signal results in poor receiption in my house. I am currently on the marketfor phone with a stronger antenna.

Absolutely no signal anywhere near Duncan and Sanchez, which is in the heart of Noe Valley.

Although I get a connection on 24th St and on 30th, I get no GSM reception at all on my home street. Strangely, on one occasion during a two week period on a grey afternoon, I had minimal reception in front of my house (but not in it); that appears to have been an anomaly. My wife has the same phone model and has had the same experience, ruling out problemts with the phone itself.

Reception is from poor to downright zero inside the house, outside gets a little better

On Highway 280 South, heading towards the junction in San Bruno to get to 101 South, you almost ALWAYS drop calls. Whether it be GSM, CDMA or TDMA. Daly City area is a terrible digital area.

Noe Valley is terrible and the mission can be spotty especially indoors. It takes my phone a while to pick up even the messages after losing signal, like half an hour last night.
