AT&T

Spotty coverage on Highway 280 in San Bruno area. Traveling northbound, calls tend to drop or fade out until you reach Daly City / Serramonte Blvd. Southbound coverage hit or miss, sometimes very good, other times calls will drop out.

There is one spot in my hallway where I sometimes get patchy reception, but no where else. Going outside doesn't help at all either. I used to have a Nokia with AT&T and got no reception at all.

Verizon Wireless coverage is generally good when travelling on the 101 freeway between San Mateo and 237, and when travelling on 237 from 101 to 880. There is one spot on 101 in Redwood City that the call would drop. When travelling on the San Mateo bridge (highway 92), I would get 1 or 2 drop calls. In Foster City, traveling on Edgewater between E. Hillsdale and Baffin, there is one spot that the call would drop. Generally when I'm walking within a building, I get good reception without any dropped calls. I was in Albany, Foster City, San Mateo, Palo Alto, North San Jose and Milpitas. inside Hillsdale mall in San Mateo, I get good reception. With Verison, I had a compact, heavy Sony cell phone with better reception than the Motorola Startac.
