Anywhere on the Stanford campus, my reception with Verizon is atrocious. Even when I see 3 bars, I often can't place a call, and calls to me get routed to voice mail without my knowledge most of the time. Reception is also very bad on Foothill Expressway everywhere in between Stanford and Cupertino. Truly a shame, because I get very good reception at home in SOMA.

As you exit Page Mill on 280 and go up the crest approaching Foothill, there's a 25-50 ft section within which my Nextel phone disconnects. It happens about 9 out of 10 times, so I'm usually prepared to redial.
