Anywhere on the Stanford campus, my reception with Verizon is atrocious. Even when I see 3 bars, I often can't place a call, and calls to me get routed to voice mail without my knowledge most of the time. Reception is also very bad on Foothill Expressway everywhere in between Stanford and Cupertino. Truly a shame, because I get very good reception at home in SOMA.

Overall have had better coverage with Verizon. Used to have Sprint. Only place where Sprint coverage was better was in one building on company campus in Sunnyvale.

Get reception great on Page Mill. Everywhere else questionable where I need it like on the Stanford Campus and at home.

As you exit Page Mill on 280 and go up the crest approaching Foothill, there's a 25-50 ft section within which my Nextel phone disconnects. It happens about 9 out of 10 times, so I'm usually prepared to redial.

Cannot make calls in my house. Only hear a third of what people say to me. T-Mobile said there would be an upgrade in my area in 5/05.

Absolutely no coverage inside the house. Depending on which direction I'm facing, I will have maybe one bar.

I'm always getting dropped calls in my house and when I'm out. I can't wait to switch to T-Mobile.

Terrible reception, must stand out in the front driveway to make a call. Only time I get reception inside the house is on a clear sunny day, and at most just 1 bar. Phone to phone SMS is bad up here as well and email to SMS is completely unreliable and useless. Metro phones up here will discharge their battery supply in under 1 hour due to constantly searching for the local digital cell site.

This phone worked fine in my house more than a year) until last week. I guess AT&T converted the TDMA tower to GSM to keep me happy - NOT!
