Verizon Wireless the devil. On line, live and local service reps tried to be helpful but bottom line just shrugging shoulders indicating Cingular "owned" the area. Was this review helpful to you?
There is NO SIGNAL in my Brittan Heights apt using Verizon. I am about to switch, I tested out other friends phones and both TMobile and SprintPCS have service inside my apt. The drive from Edgewood / 280 to Brittan / Crestview is also very spotty using Verizon. I have notified Verizon and they are checking the area. Was this review helpful to you?
Cingular has a lousy signal at this location. Half the calls don't even connect. Works okay across the border in Mountan View, though. I've driven to Costco a couple of times, when I had to make a call that had to go through. Was this review helpful to you?
4 years with Verizon and I've never had a dropped or missed call except in two places. (1) Stanford campus, which is well-known to be terrible for every carrier but Cingular (rumor has it that Cingular has some sort of exclusive deal). (2) Inside the all-metal IKEA store off 101. My phones have been Motorola phones with extendable antennas (V265 and V120). The reviews of those phones say that they have some of the best radios available, so that may be the source of my good luck. Was this review helpful to you?
I drop about 5 calls per day. It's getting ridiculous. Do not choose Sprint in this area! Was this review helpful to you?
I have the Cingular 3G network on my phone. I usually have 4 out of 5 bars on my phone. I have never had any problems getting reception at my house or anywhere in redwood city. The 3G network is great! It is better that my Verizon service I used to have. Was this review helpful to you?
Phone only partially works in certain areas of the house. I was thinking of trying all of the carriers until I found this site and realized that they all have bad reception. What's up?Was this review helpful to you?
T-Mobile has nothing outside of white plaza in stanford campus, find another service if you live on campus. Was this review helpful to you?
I have MetroPCS and it works outside in certain spots. on Linda Mar BLVD. it seems fine but once you get to the end you see the end of your 2 bars of hope. I really wish they would get service back there. but you get for what you pay I guess. the rest of pacifica seems ok along hwy 1.Was this review helpful to you?
I travel often and enjoy the nationwide coverage Verizon is known for. However, it is hopelessly bad at my house. Most calls I receive are dropped. Verizon has let me know that I could be released from my contract because it is a known bad area. (Yes, in the heart of Silicon Valley!) The really bad news is that our previous Verizon phones worked reliably at the same house. Is it possible that as the number of cells increases the sensitivity of the new phones is decreasing to save cost? Verizon has replaced my latest phone once but it did not help. Was this review helpful to you?
