AT&T

I got switched to Cingular from AT&T with very disapointing results after a couple of months. Got the siginal and the bars but dont recieve calls and can make calls 50% of the time. Use to just keep trying till I got through but that wont do you any good with cingular. I have had cells phones for 10 years. I am a contractor in SF and surrounding area. I need a new phone company regardless of the cost of broken contracts. Was thinking of Nextel

If you live in Brisbane, make sure you dial *228, option 2 every month or so to update your phone. I went from no reception to 4-5 bars this week!

Reception is horrible both inside and outside my condo! Please put in more towers!

Signal always drops when travelling from Junipero Serra to 280.

This is my second Verizon phone and it still doesn't work in my area. I have relatives come over with other Verizon phones and they ring, but you can't pick up and have a conversation.

Reception is spotty all the way from 280 (down Edgewood Rd.and up Crestview). Inside Brittan Heights condos, mostly NO reception.

Recently relocated to Stanford area. Verizon Wireless does not have coverage on campus--cannot make calls, do not receive incoming calls, and do not dependably receive voicemail. All calls made even when there are two bars are dropped or incomplete (one party cannot hear the other). Talked to a Verizon Wireless store manager on University Avenue--he even suggested to go to Cingular if I needed to use the cell phone in Palo Alto. When a store manager of Verizon tells you to go to Cingular, you know it is a bad situation with Verizon in this area.

Three bars inside the house and four outside. Once in awhile the phone does have to go analog for reception.

Used to be a total black hole before the Cingular / AT&T merger. Now just very unstable.

inside the house I get three bars or more, rarely any dropped calls and the only place it never works is inside a school cafeteria and one of the houses in san jose. T-Mobile is a great carrier since i've already tried about every other one and they either had bad reception or good reception, but bad static and I usually had to stand outside to take calls
