AT&T Wireless (GSM)
I usually get about 4 or 5 bars of reception, but even at 3 bars of reception, I can still make phone calls, receive phone calls, and hear everything clearly. I've had no problems with this phone and this service together. My mother's Samsung sometimes has problems with reception, so maybe it depends on the phone as well. Was this review helpful to you?
Terrible reception making the phone unusable at home. Phone doesn't even ring. Often receive voice mail messages hours or even days later when I leave to go somewhere that coverage exists. Verizon has agreed to let me out of my agreement -- they know they have a serious problem. What is surprising is lack of concern about solving the problem though. They are the biggest and have quickly become slow and sloppy despite their massive resources. Give growing problems in the industry, it looks like all of the carriers are taking advantage now.Was this review helpful to you?
Once off the beaten path in Belmont hills, zero to no reception. Must be the phone because I had at least been able to get messages and 2 bars using my Samsung. Hwy. 92 / Hillsdale. Same as post above, calls 100% drop if in use when passing this zone. Was this review helpful to you?
New T mobile service. Got home and had zero bars. Drove around trying to find reception. The dead spot on the bay side of FC is as follows. Starting at Beach Park and Gull 1 bar. Beach Park at Bowditch no signal. Beach Park / FC BLVD no signal. Beach Park and Shell 1 bar. Turning right on shell to Shell and Cataraman 4 bars. A block later no signal. No basically there is no signal or 1 bar at all until the intersection of Shell / Cataraman then a block later nothing. Very disapointedWas this review helpful to you?

I get a good amount of bars... The clearness of calls varies a littleWas this review helpful to you?
Just received. Have not been able to connect at all, even to register phone. Tried inside, outside, porch, street... useless. All this new technology and can't even get a signal at my house. Had phones for years, and this is the first one to not work at all. Sending it back. Was this review helpful to you?
The closer I get to my home near Meadow and Middlefield, my bars stop dropping. I get no signal in the house! My husband has a different phone but also on Cingular and he'll get maybe one bar, so not much better. Also drops around 101 and 85 intersection. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception Good off the Freeway but Drops down to 1 bar when on Lake Erie Street. Verizon's response is that it is most likely a line of sight problem because of the terrain in the area. ("Can you hear me now?" No I can't!)Was this review helpful to you?
Signal strength varies dramatically depending on which tower I pick up: 0 to 2 bars if it's the tower identifying itself as "Cingular," 4 or 5 bars if it's the "AT&T / Cingular Wireless" tower. Alas, there's no way to tell it "never mind, I'll just wait for the better tower." Also, much of Alma between Meadow and Oregon has no signal at all. Still, much better than before the merger with AT&T.Was this review helpful to you?
