At home we never have more than one bar of reception strength. Dropped calls or losing transmission ability is not unusual. Was this review helpful to you?
Never had any trouble with Verizon service in this area and coverage is pretty good anywhere I go -- I am having trouble with the price though so am shopping around. Was this review helpful to you?
Service is fast sporadically. While at home and while walking to campus. The LTE is nonexistent. Most walks to and from school, I cannot use the phone for anything requiring cellular dataWas this review helpful to you?
Never get higher than one bar. No cell available during power outages. Bummer! I am told Verizon has backup battery for power outages but don’t know if they are good for this area that is up against hills. Was this review helpful to you?
I sometimes have 1 bar or none in this area. Standing outside in Bay Area with no service in 2019? Seems unacceptable. Up in Tilden Park I had 5 bars 4gLTE! Came back home to zero. T-Mobile was the opposite, no bars in Tilden. Was this review helpful to you?
Trying to figure out if switching from Sprint to AT&T helps with cellphone calls. Was this review helpful to you?
at&T They are a lousy provider of cell service and will lie to get your money. They refused to refund my money after I canceled service. $over 300.00 for three calls in 2 months. Charged me 60.00 for a 15.00 flipfone..Don't use At&T store on grand ave, Oakland Ca. Unless You don"t mind getting srewed. john millerWas this review helpful to you?
Sprint works good. I get dropped calls in some areas, but otherwise, most of my calls and text messages come through. A friend of mine who has AT&T came yo my house and her phone always says No Service. Was this review helpful to you?

Terrible Verizon cell phone service in Alameda. How can a major carrier like Verizon, that is selling service in our community and collecting money for it, be unable to provide basic cell phone coverage that it has contracted to provide its users? My Verizon cell phone regularly shows either 1 bar or "No Service". I am unable to make outbound calls for work, even to my own voicemail. This is a business cell phone under a corporate contract. The rare times I am actually able to make a call using my Verizon service, the call usually gets cut off. I have business calls to the East Coast to my colleagues that Verizon is unable to ever complete. My colleagues have to call me, often on my own, personal cell phone, which does not use Verizon but GoogleFi, which always works. It's shocking how bad the Verizon issue is here in Alameda. Was this review helpful to you?
