I'm not sure if it's just T-Mobile is bad in SF or what, but I get horrible or no signal at all in my office.. I have to use my land line for everything.. it's terribly frustrating. Seems like SF in general might be very bad with cell reception.. for a large city like this I would think the wirless carriers would strengthen and increase coverage... but it would not appear to be the case. Was this review helpful to you?
Up at the top of the hill on the west side. Reception is really bad on the east side of my condo, and slightly better on the west. I drop calls about 50% of the time. The only thing that seams to work is to stand on the back deck and not move (west facing deck). Then there are just periods of incomprehension rather than altogether disconnecting. I'd switch carriers in a heartbeat if there was one that worked better. Was this review helpful to you?
Shows 4-5 most of the time at home; sometimes dipping down to 1. The other person's voice often is very choppy, and some dropped calls. Sometimes the person can not hear me. Get voicemails with no ring at times. The reception has gotten worse, it seems, lately. I am starting to give some of my clients my land-line number, even though I did not want to do this. If I call people back on my land-line, there is almost always a good connection, so I know it is not their phone or service. Service quality is erratic. Can't seem to find a consistant sweet spot in my home. Maybe it depends on the breeze. Had an LG flip-phone on Verizon many years ago, while living at this same location. I don't remember having this many problems with it, and the sound quality was better, too, I think. Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T (Cingular) has degraded over the last couple of years - especially since the merger. No more than 2 bars at most around this area and often, dropped calls if I even attempt to move around after I've started a call. Was this review helpful to you?
I had a T-Mobile blackberry previously. service at my house was intermittent. Was this review helpful to you?
Inside, get 1-2 bars, dropped calls every once in a while. Work at Harbor Bay, same thing. I get better signal just about anywhere else. Was this review helpful to you?
The cellphone is practically unusable in or near the house. Cingular is letting me cancel my contract because they just can't get me reliable service. It's frustrating since I've already tried Sprint and T-Mobile with no luckWas this review helpful to you?
All over the place. I can be sitting at my desk (ground floor in front of unobstructed window) and watch the bars jump from 5 to 3 to No Service. I've noticed more and more dropped calls on this phone (never had this problem until about 3 months ago) throughout central San Francisco. When calling back, I now start the conversation with "Fewest dropped calls, my a**!"Was this review helpful to you?
The signal quality is notorious along this stretch when driving through the UC campus. Cuts out competely, particularly along Piedmont in the heart of campus but strength returns on either the north or south side when leaving. If people didn't whine so much about roof installation of cell antennas in Berkeley, perhaps we could also have consistent signals for emergency calls. Was this review helpful to you?
a ton of disconnects. my phone kept switching from the 1x tower to Ev tower which drained my battery everyday. I could not have my phone on for the whole night with out having it plugged to a charger. Was this review helpful to you?
