AT&T

I get terrible reception, and sometimes none at all. Many dropped calls. I have the same problem at work near Claremont Ave and Ashby. It was the same with AT&T and with my previous Nokia.

Reception is pretty good outdoors on the northern side of the UC Berkeley campus. Few dropped calls and consistently good sound quality. Reception sometimes drops rapidly indoors, often to one bar or none. On the UC Berkeley campus for example, reception is terrible in various campus buildings like Evans, Valley Life Sciences Bldg, Pimentel, Tan Hall, and Foothill Housing, but reception is fine in various others (such as Davis Hall, Cesar Chavez, and Dwinelle). Maybe it depends on the building material?

Although I usually receive full bars in this area, almost every call has been garbled and interrupted with skips in the audio (half-second gaps of silence).

Coverage with T-Mobile in this area is excellent. The sound quality during my conversations is consistently good, and I never get any dropped calls.

After good reception through Verizon's Extended Network for the past year, they suddenly dropped the extended network (which may have been Sprint). No reception and no explanation for the network change. Customer service trying to help, sending us through phone exercises, but have no clue about what happened to the extended network.

1st floor inside wood frame building - poor reception - static when calls connect, dropped calls are common. May occaisonially (rarely) get 2 to 3 bars that go up and down even when not moving...

I get 2 bars outside on the sidewalk; not enough to hold a conversation without dropouts and missed words. Inside my house I get no reception to 1 bar, so I can't make any calls and can only check voicemail when standing right next to a window at the front of the house.

Consistantly strong signal (4 bars) both outside and inside my house. No dropped calls. Used to have T-Mobile and a Nokia 6610 and constantly got dropped calls, and weak / no signal here.
