I cannot make or receive calls from inside my apartment. I get a "no service" screen. If I stand outside on the sidewalk, I get fair reception, but often get cut off.Was this review helpful to you?
Signal strength and sound quality excellent throughout the southern to central Berkeley area, haven't tested it elsewhere yet. Callers report that my signal quality is excellent also. Subjectively, the sound quality seems at least as good as what I would get on good quality landline phones. My two previous phones, Sony Ericsson T68i and T226, were much poorer in RF performance and audio quality on the same, ATT / Cingular, GSM network. Was this review helpful to you?
I'm only getting 2 bars - even when I'm outside walking. I recently switched from Verizon, and quite frankly I thought their reception was great (4-5 bars usually) by comparison. Verizon was a bit screwed up in the billing dept. but that's another story. I also read some unfavorable reviews of the v220 on the web. I'm starting to believe them. I hope that Cingular can improve their reception in this area soon. Was this review helpful to you?
No problems, even get decent reception in the tricky Oakland Hills. Was this review helpful to you?
Outside of my house I get about 2 bars. Occassionally dropped calls. Inside my house, I get about 1 bar, but can rarely make calls. Phone only rings sometimes. Calls usually dropped. In general, very happy with coverage in Albany, El Cerrito, Berkeley. However, coverage is poor again on the southside of the UCB campus. Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T Wireless (TDMA)
I do not recieve 99% of my calls when I am at home and about 75% of my calls I do not recieve when I'm in other areas of Oakland and San Francisco. AT&T was a nightmare to deal with. Was this review helpful to you?
Only thing that works inside home is Verizon. Good luck with anything else...Was this review helpful to you?
Calls frequently dropped, terrible reception, and very unreliable. T-Mobile is terrible in the Berkeley area. Was this review helpful to you?
T-Mobile often has poor reception in Oakland and at SF State, where I go to school. Was this review helpful to you?
Just switched from AT&T to Verizon. Much better coverage throughout SF and 280 corridor. Almost always have 4-5 bars. Was this review helpful to you?
