It really sucks that there's no reception while inside a brick building. I used to have AT&T and it worked just fine... I made a big mistake to switch over to T-Mobile because I want a new phone and keep my number. I am very disappointed with T-Mobile service so far. They better improve on the reception inside the building or they will lose customers big time.

Frequent dropped calls, especially during peak usage hours. Occasionally so bad I'm only able to talk for five to ten minutes w/o the call getting dropped. Unfortunately / ironically, I only seem to have problems in my immediate neighborhodd ... no problems at all from my job (near San Pable and Ashby). This is with Verizon. I previously had AT&T which was literally unusable.

Used to not get any reception in my office. Since the merger with AT&T, I'm getting a full signal. Didn't think it'd be that drastic of a change.

Never had any problem with coverage with no dropped calls either. There is one weak spot around 280 and cesar chavez intersection but it has been improving after the ATT Cingular merger. I would recommend ATT / Cingular to anyone living in SOMA (but please have a device which catches both 850 and 1900 spectrum).

Inside of my old house, I get no reception. My friend who is visiting with an AT&T phone gets great reception.

I go to school at Encinal High and that's right near Alameda's old Navy base. With Sprint I get no signal whatsoever, but with AT&T GSM America I get at least 3 bars. AT&T is awesome!
