I bring my cellphone in class and when i go outside on campus i still get no reception. I just don't get it, there are no electrical wires to make difficulty but only clear skies. NO reception, talk about rollover might as well give us free minutes because i always have to call people back. Verizon is even better inside buildings. My dead zones are classrooms!

GSM does not suck. It's about what phone you get. Also need to pay someone to unlocked and upgrade fireware for you in order to use best service.

Great Reception all over Piedmont, occasional cut out but majority of the time reception is great. Satisfied.

Noe Valley is terrible and the mission can be spotty especially indoors. It takes my phone a while to pick up even the messages after losing signal, like half an hour last night.

I've had three cell phones from AT&T both on the GSM and TDMA and AT&T has to have the worse service imaginable. No matter where I am reception is horrible.

bars jump up and down, up and down. everyone i call says it sounds like i am underwater. i hear others without any problem. the entire att/nokia experience has been very frustrating. reception in southern ca (venice area) isn't much better.

Still the most reliable service compared to newer GSM services

ATT GSM quality is really not worth the frustration!! If you are planning to sign up, please cross ATT off of you list of choices.
