Over the last several months I've noticed a significant decline in the quality of my Verizon service. The service used to be quite good over here in the East Bay, but now it seems I'm forced to choose between 3 bad options (Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T). I had AT&T for many years and their service was okay, I switched to Verizon when AT&T started to go downhill and now it's happening again. Why is it that service never seems to improve? I don't expect perfect service 24 / 7. I simply expect my money to buy something that won't crap out on me in the middle of a business call 20% of the time!Was this review helpful to you?
I have no idea what happened the AT&T signal. It is bad almost all over in Oakland Berkeley Emeryville . I used to get good signals now is really bad.Was this review helpful to you?
I walk my dog down Evelyn Ave. to Brighton and back under the Bart tracks on the Greenway. I get pretty much zero service on Evelyn. The closer you are to Key Route, the more service available. But there are dead zones all along Solano. This is using 3G service. I don't know if their 4G LTE is better.Was this review helpful to you?

Absolutely terrible inside Stern Hall - some dropped calls, bad quality when it does go through, very inconsistent signal. Seems to work fine in some areas of UC Berkeley's campus, though (downtown, on Telegraph, etc.)Was this review helpful to you?
I rarely have issues. SF, East Bay, and Marin are all totally fine. Driving across Richmond Bridge, sometimes reception goes down as signal gets switched to a new cell. I am not being paid by AT&T to write this review, by the way. I just feel it's expensive. But I guess it is worth it, seeing reviews of other networks,Was this review helpful to you?
I switched from CREDO (a socially responsible company)which was ok if a bit pricey. It uses Sprint. Thought I could get a better deal with Verizon and I wanted a walk-store. But who cares about that now given the horrific service we have received. We have the dropped calls, and long periods of time when it is not available. The back of the house has not had service for a long time. Promises were made but never honored. This includes internet service in the back of the house. My daddy told me never to pay for something I did not get. Sorry Dad.Was this review helpful to you?
I get a lot of missed calls that say to the caller something to the affect of the subscriber is not available. It's worse with the Motorola X.Was this review helpful to you?

How much of a gap in s there between the 1st (VZW), and 2nd (AT&T) largest wireless carriers with the 3rd (Sprint) largest carrier? F'N H-U-G-E! I've used AT&T and VZW service (voice / data) for the past 16+ years and never has their service been as horrendous as Sprint! I got suckered into Sprint's low monthly unlimited voice and data plans at the end of 2013. When I cancelled my VZW service, the VZW rep said, sorry, there's nothing I can do to match Sprint's rates, but be forewarned that droves and droves of Sprint customers are leaving to sign up with VZW because of their terrible coverage and service. Being on Sprint for a year now, I can easily say that the VZW rep was right and that I HATE SPRINT SERVICE! Unlimited voice and data means nothing! What you get is UNLIMITED crap! Data dependent apps don't work (even when LTE signal indicator shows 3 bars on iPhone) so you wait, and wait, and wait, until you suck it up and put your useless smart device away because there is no data connection. Trying to use my device on Bart is a joke. There are so many dead spots on 101 and 280 that my voice calls drop every 4-5 miles all along San Francisco and the Peninsula. I just drove to and from LA on I-5 and there were SEVERAL spans of 50-60 miles on I-5 that had absolutely NO COVERAGE! I was able to use my navigation, voice service, and text a total of 30-40 mins total on my drive from SF to LA. WTF?! Useless 4G voice and data is what you pay for. YOU WILL REGRET SIGNING UP WITH SPRINT and be just as HATEFUL as I am towards the company. Their customer service is just as horrible! Good luck trying to get a straight answer from any of their call centers (state side or overseas).Was this review helpful to you?
