I have 2 bars at best. My phone won't even ring at times and goes automatically into voicemail. Then I won't even get my voicemail messages until the next day if I'm lucky! Same for text messages.

Horrible coverage, and I'm downtown San Francisco. I barely one or two bars and calls are constantly dropped. At times my phone won't even ring and goes directly into voicemail. if someone leaves me a voicemail I don't even get it until a day later...

Reception goes form 3G to Edge when I sit at my desk and use the iphone. Called the AT&T Service Center to so advise and they didn't seem to understand that AT&T needs to beef up their network in the SF area to accomodate all the iphone traffic on their network - the Tech blamed the poor coverage on the SIM card / iphone hardware. Duh. Seems lake the dropped calls are increasing and the 3G speed is decreasing since I upgraded to 3.0 and the 3GS was released. I swithched from Verizon to AT&T for the iphone. No doubt in my mind theat Verizon has better coverage (wish they had the foresight to make the deal with Apple rather than let it slip to AT&T).

On major city street cross road between Hwy. 880 and 580 and Alameda Country General Hospital. very poor signal... hope there is never a major emergency. Even what is considered the flatlands of Oakland, there are still Hills and Valleyies that block cell service.

Terrible reception on edge network and no 3G network to be found in my neighborhood. I am sick of constantly asking folks on the other line to repeat what they say because of ATT's terrible service.

I think about a year ago all of a sudden the reception in my house raised from no reception to full reception. Very happy now.

My reception anywhere inside my house is terrible. It's slightly better outside but not much. It's never dropped any of my calls but it has constant cut outs on words. I am looking to change carriers asap.

The reception for my 1st generation Iphone used to be great. Now after 8 months of complaining to ATT, 4 out of 5 calls in my neighborhood get dropped regardless of how many bars I have.
