You would think that a cell service would pick up better the top of a hill. In fact, the hayward hills have horrible service. T Mobile should get this taken care of.Was this review helpful to you?
I get a lot of missed calls that say to the caller something to the affect of the subscriber is not available. It's worse with the Motorola X.Was this review helpful to you?
Outside the reception is okay, depending on where you walk. A few times while walking my dog a call has dropped. While inside my apartment, the occasionally drop increases. For example, I can be sitting on my bed, not moving much and the call will drop in the middle. I have to be very strategic to where I stand / sit to make and hold a phone call conversation. Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint needs more LTE because I get it outside my home but in the house I have airave 2.5 plus and it help all my dropped calls and clearer calls come in!!Was this review helpful to you?
Coverage is generally awful in the Montclair hills. My first carrier was T-Mobile when I moved here and I would get one bar. I could only reliably make calls if I went out to the street. I switched to Boost mobile, which runs on Sprints network. No coverage at all. Beware that even though they're a no-contract carrier, they will not refund the first month. When in doubt, get the absolute cheapest plan, or a pay-as-you-go plan, to test coverage so you don't get burned if you need to cancel like I did. I asked the upstairs neighbors what they use and based on that switched to ATT. The coverage and wife are acceptable but the BIG downside is ATT costs nearly double what other carriers charge. 300 MB / 300 Minutes / 300 texts is $88!Was this review helpful to you?
Verizon service in downtown Berkeley is terrible. I'm often in Civic Center Park for lunch, and my 3G iPhone on Verizon usually only gets 2-3 bars, and sometimes, like today. it goes to 1x (analog? seriously?) WTF is wrong with coverage form ALL the carriers in Berkeley? Totally ridiculous! Was this review helpful to you?
ok for texting most of the time but phone calls will be lost in most cases. Was this review helpful to you?
Service was great until 5 / 5 / 2013 when the Cal State University, East Bay tower on top of the Warren building was turned off. Service has been at 1-2 bars with poor call service since then. I call every 2 months for a credit. Microcell only works sometimes (even when in the same room) but the iPhone disconnects from it often, instantly ruining a call. It's 2014, in a major metropolitan area, and cell service has been around for 25+ years. Needs to work. We're it in the middle of the woods here. Was this review helpful to you?
Calls made from I phone is being dropped constantly. Internet signal is dropped daily. This Ashby corridor is considered the dead zone. by AT&T customer service. Tried AT&T cell tower and no result. Just as dead as ever. The only solution in this zone is land line. I often see people sitting on the curb outside of their houses to make calls with their cell phones. Was this review helpful to you?
I'm in a dead zone that is roughly defined by Lee St., Montecito Ave., Bay and Vernon. Coverage is good outside this area, and horrible inside. So I have almost no coverage in my house. I tried a microcel device but it only improved signal strength occasionally. I'm just waiting for my contract to end!Was this review helpful to you?
