I can't use my mobile phone at home. Its ridiculous. ATT is terrible. I have to stand on one foot, wear an aluminum foil helmet, and have the other foot in a sink full of water. Oh, and hold my head a specific tilt. Berkeley mobile service is horrible on every carrier. I've had Verizon for years and won't go back. I tried MetroPCS, no luck. I went to ATT only because I get the phone and service paid for by work, and they all suck. What is going to happen to the residents of this hippie town when a major disaster happens and their precious landlines are melted down and the only way to get a call out is through a mobile phone? Was this review helpful to you?
Verizon reception has been fairly good for the last 6-years but over the last 3-days I've had little to no signal strength. Brought my phone to Verizon and it is okay. Wondering if there is a cell tower problem in the area. Was this review helpful to you?
The coverage is so sporadic in my neighborhood that it will often drop calls with 2 bars and no physical movement from me. Maybe AT&T would like to put a fake pine tree cell tower in my backyard...Was this review helpful to you?
Emeryville reception for AT&T is spotty when more than a block from I-80. For some reason, right past the water tank on Powell is a black hole for AT&T. I also have a Verizon phone which has consistently better service across town. It's odd because the area is the nexus of 4 major freeways but AT&T drops everyone who ventures inland more than a block from the MacArthur Maze. Was this review helpful to you?
Would do better with a megaphone... Reception is terrible and calls drop usually every single call! Was this review helpful to you?
Fortunately I have 2 friends with i-Phones and though I love the phone itself, neither of them can get any reception where I live and I live in a pretty main hub. All other services work fine here, but AT&T's coverage in the Bay overall just plain sucks :( Too bad, I'd sign up and buy an i-Phone out of the gate if it actually worked here! Was this review helpful to you?
Virtually no reception in house - none downstairs at all, and upstairs has gotten much worse. T-Mobile has great rates and spectacular customer service - and no roaming for me. BUT, at home and at work (near the beach / mall), I can't hardly make any calls. Text only. Text works great. Dash has bad volume features by the way. Also - carefulfor power surges - my battery got too hot and now only stays charged for about an hour. My boss talks on his phone all day - I plan to find out what HE has!Was this review helpful to you?
For my cell phone to work, I have to step outside of my house to receive and make calls. If I am inside of my house, my reception real bad.Was this review helpful to you?
terrible, a two mile call in montclair means about 5 disconnections... .Was this review helpful to you?
Miserable part of the city. Not only do we get zero to one bar at our house, which is right near here, nobody visiting gets any better service, no matter what provider they have. So much for ditching our land line. Was this review helpful to you?
