I just moved to this area and AT&T reception is pathetic. Many dropped calls and my voice sounds broken and unclear on the other end. Changed the phone and still the same issue. Called AT&T to get a reception booster but they told me that I have to pay for it. I surprises me that with the amount they charge they cannot add more cell sites and upgrade their system. Was this review helpful to you?
Just moved from the mid west where we never had cell problems. Amazes that here by Apple the internet is super slow and cell reception is very poorWas this review helpful to you?
I agree with the October 19 2014 review of poor AT&T coverage outside Cupertino Library. Calls drop very easily here, despite a visible cell tower on City Hall! Was this review helpful to you?
In Santa Clara I get dropped calls. At my home in kitchen the signal just dies. Else people who call me can't hear me. Calls drop. I am not able to dial out. Sprint used to be OK way back actually. Now I'm dumping Sprint, because when you look for a new job you can't find a new job with Sprint, since you can't talk to anyone. I've had all big 4 in the past and Verizon with AT&T were the best. $140 / month for Verizon or $90 / month for AT&T? That is the question. Was this review helpful to you?
Tall buildings in the area are preventing good reception in this area. More and more dense clusters of apartments in the area must have the same issue. Was this review helpful to you?
We changed to Verizon from AT&T to get better reception. However, Verizon is equally poor. Many dropped calls and poor connections. It seems ironic that we live in the heart of technology and can't get decent cell coverage. My contract is about up and I don't know where to go next! Was this review helpful to you?
Impossible to make a call from the house and even outside on the streetWas this review helpful to you?
I actually use Virgin Mobile over the Sprint Network. Connections are ok. Texting and data are much more reliable. I'm thinking of switching over to Sprint since it worked pretty well when we went to Hawaii (Oahu and Kauai). I've had AT&T previously. They were famous for dropped calls and barely 2 bars even outside. They put up an additional tower nearby so service is improved now. Too expensive for what you get.Was this review helpful to you?
Drop calls partway down the street. At home have a router that was supposed to help. Sprint promised better service once their towers were upgraded but still drop calls and need router to connect at home. Drop calls on commutefrom Campbell to Redwood City. So I basically pay $90 / mo. for nothing. Was this review helpful to you?
Using an outstanding mid-range LG Optimus with a Metro PCS unlimited prepay card, and the coverage and service has far exceeded my expectations. Calls incoming and outgoing are good and never dropped. Internet speed and connection always solid and fast on this 4G LTE system. Highly recommend. Phone and prepay cards purchased at Best Buy. This betters my AT&T experience by a long shot. And yet, the above products and services get such a bad rap (even at Best Buy they gave a thumbs-down)... go figure. Was this review helpful to you?
