Verizon

only one bar

Can't believe our Creston Area cell reception can be so bad. Others in parts of Cupertino talk about cell towers going in everywhere and here are phones don't even get a full bar. Zip code here is 95014 and we are in an older large housing tract. Come on Verizon, fix it. We left our last carrier because of the dropped calls and now your service is no better.

Only 1 of 3 phone calls connect to HD voice, and then after some time, it drops. When calling back, it connects at a very low quality like we're communicating through a garbage can.

Looks like a strong connection until you call. Then 95% dropped calls. Downgrades to 4G for calls with 1 bar of service.

I used both Verizon (before) and Project Fi (current, which is the best of T-Mobile and Sprint) and found no differences in coverage. Verizon had better voice quality and lower drop call rates but the overall advantage over Fi wasn't enough for me to justify the extra cost. So far so good, no big complaints! I used LTE data often for mobile hotspot for work because Comcast sucks in my neighborhood during the pandemic. There's some 5G coverage where I am but the data rates are even lower than LTE.

Live right next to cell tower - but only one bar 95% of the time. Dropped calls frequently. Have to stay in one spot.
