Spotty reception, at best. Have to drive down to middle of Delta Rd.to get decent reception. Also no reception along Verona / Yerba Buena till EVC...Was this review helpful to you?
Always drops calls here. Did they take a tower down while they are doing construction? There's a big one though by the Microsoft office - not sure if Cingular is on it though. Was this review helpful to you?
Really ridiculous signal, ranging from 1 bar to 4 at the same place, depending on the direction in which the cell phone is placed. The fun part is signal does not get cut anywhere, but reception is very pathetic when the bars are non-existent. A little tilt on angle towards south-east, and the signal is clear with 3-4bars showing up in the cellphone. Kinda feels like I am adjusting the TV antenna for better reception! Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T Wireless (GSM)
Often had calls drop or no service at all. Most times it was on roaming. AT&T went downhill after buying Cingular. The calls dropped a lot more often, they started overbilling.45 per minute instead of.35 per minute per my contract and they started charges after 900 minutes when my contract had 1300 minutes on it. It became a monthly battle to go through my bill and call them to correct it. They usually corrected their mistakes but I got tired of having to scrutinize the bill each month so I was forced to move to Sprint. Was this review helpful to you?
1 to 2 bars with Sprint often dropping calls. Tried 2 different Sprint phones and had same problem. AT&T had a little better service here but they can't seem to get they really deteriorated after the Cingular merger. Sprint office looked up this area and it's in a yellow zone with 25% drop rate. I don't think any phone could work well here. Sprint reps were great and give me great service so I'm going to stick it out hoping they'll fix the area coverage. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception with Verizon in the Valley seems fairly consistently average. I can make / get calls most places, even inside buildings, but do get dropped calls - perhaps 1 in 10. Largest annoyance is dialling a number and waiting up to 30sec before the call is put through - perhaps 1 in 3 times. Overall slightly better than AT&T (before the merger) which I had previously and had dropped calls perhaps 1 in 4. Overall I would rate both services as poor-average. Verizon phpne choices are miserable. Perhaps time to change again. Was this review helpful to you?

Just moved from another state to south San Jose, CA. T-Mobile has no reception. On lucky days, I get 1 bar for a few minutes. Frustrating! I'm going to switch to Cingular (although I hope to God that they fired all AT&T wireless customer service people)Was this review helpful to you?
