I moved to a townhouse at Granada and Wright and my reception is so miserable I may switch carriers. My friends with Verizon and Sprint seem to be fine. When I'm downstairs my phone is essentially unusable and upstairs I can use it but I have to stand in hot spots (2 bars) and even then the person on the other end misses words now and then. I seem to hear them better than they hear me. My reception in the rest of Mountain View is fine.

Horrible in Evergreen of SJ. Do not go with Sprint if you live anywhere in this area. It took them 3 months to fess up that it's a network problem.

Very poor reception everywhere. Once you are indoors, your phone is dead. Cingular should be out of business in Sunnyvale.

Very poor reception. The phone shows having a signal but I can only receive 1 out of 5 calls and make 1 out of 3 calls. I have SIM card registeration faliures 2-3 times a day, and voice mail won't reach the phone until 1.5 hrs later.

I can get two bars in my 4th floor apartment, but normally just one. So when I call comes in (or I want to make a call), I generally have to move around the house to find a good spot. On the other hand, I don't miss any calls... I think being on the top floor helps in this case.

The new marketing blitz by AT&T about the number of reception bars above the heads of people trying to talk is a myth if happen to be anywhere on the Bollinger Rd. in San Jose. This also happens to be a Cupertino area as the North side of the road is in Cupertino.
