Usually one bar or even EDGE coverage! All of my neighbors with AT&T have the same problem. Call straight to voicemail half the time. Then AT&T makes you pay $200 for a Microcell to be able to get phone calls in your own home (in San Jose, 10th largest city in the US and the capital of Silicon Valley). My daughter has the same problem in her apartment (a block away from eBay headquarters). ATT claimed there's no issue in her area, so won't believe her. ATT is the worst (the entire company, not just for wireless... I speak from experience for business and residential phone service, internet, u-verse).

Zero to 1 bar reception, reception is terrible, can't sent pictures from phone to anyone anywhere! Waste of A LOT of money! When contract is up (soon thank goodness) am switching to Verizon.

I get great reception even in my basement. Heavy use of internet / data without problems. I travel through out the county for work and have very rarely had any issues with dropped calls or inability to access data. I rely heavly on maps in my phone and find they are always available when needed. Occasionly loose service in the Santa Cruz Mts and backroads in south Santa Clara county.

G2 and G3 have always been poor, I just got an iPhone which is G4 and that is just as bad. I returned it. I tried T-Mobile and Sprint before I went with AT&T many years back. Maybe I'll try Verizon.

I have Sierra 3G / 4G. 3G gets 6 bars (100%) signal strengh but speed is slow - 1Mbs down. 4G gets 2 bars with antenna assis and window open but again only 1Mbs -> 1.5Mbs down and.20 up. Works but FAR CRY from 4Mpbs down! promised for 4G and only 2 bars. Its cold wtih window open in winter.

Phone never rings unless it is held near a front window. Battery only lasts approx 2-3 hrs because it is always "hunting". Phone is basically useless when I am at home!
