Sprint

I switched to Sprint to save money but ended up with a nonworking phone. I got the HTC One and the device was fine, but the service was terrible. My incoming calls would drop within a minute or two of answering, I could not make outgoing calls, and could not get on the 3G data network in my house, neighborhood, or office downtown. After a month of trying to get it sorted with customer service telling me various excuses, I took the phone back. The store manager told me I would not be billed for anything but I ended up getting a bill anyway. Corporate took off the early termnination fee but they want me to pay for the month of horrible service. I complained to the PUC. Awful service, and awful customer service.

I get no signal in my apartment. I'm in the pocket / greenhaven area. I work in Elk Grove near the intersection of Bruceville and Laguna- low signal there also. Throughout the Pocket area my phone and girlfriends phones are roaming or one to two bars with dropped calls. I am within my 14 day initial period and will be cancelling and going with Verizon. I wish I read the reviews here first. Funny thing is, I had Metro PCS before this and had ZERO dropped calls in Sacramento and nearly full bars in my apartment. I figured Sprint would be better since it has a reputable name. Could it be our phones? Well I purchased the Samsung Galaxy S3 and she purchased the IPhone 5. I called Sprint and they put in a baloney fix it ticket just like another customer who left a review here. When traveling throughout Sacramento the service has varied from low signal to full signal but rarely do I see the 4G signal pop up. Sprints low price unlimited data plan simply isn't worth it if you can't get signal in your own place of living.

I'd argue that Sprint and AT&T work the best in Sacramento. Full bars everywhere on Sprint.

have had t mobile for about 1 year. they issued me a phone # that was up for collections from previous user. Needless to say I had collection calls about every day for 6 months. the coverage when camping at ice house is non existent as well as West and North shore of Tahoe Lake. If you plan on using your phone in different areas of California would not advise this one. oh yeah the Samsung blaze... nothing fast about it. 4g ha ha

The reception is spotty and I'm surprised since where I use this most is right next to the Capitol building. I would think if anywhere in Sacramento T-Mobile would want to ensure great service it would be down here. In my office building, which has few obstructions (I'm right next to large windows) I get no reception.

I have AT&T and even have a M Cell placed next to a window. I have dropped calls, and only one bar most times. Now my M Cell is acting up, of course its just of out the one year warranty. I'm switching to another provider as soon as my contract is up.

I have no idea what these people are talking about regarding AT&T reception in the Sacramento area. I get rock solid lte coverage all around Sacramento, at times I've seen 55mbps down and 20-30mbps up with 40 ms latency. I could not be more happy. At my house, indoors I get 4 bars with AT&T and two bars on t mobile.

Very spotty, with absolutely no signal at all, many a times. Comes and goes, not reliable in the heart of downtown. When I go to authorized dealers, there are other T-Mobile customer's complaining of service outages the same times I've experienced them in the same areas, all of a sudden.

Surprisingly good coverage with metro. I get some antenna hopping just past 80 / madison eastbound, But have been very happy with metro's service since I switched in 2009. I travel to new spots every day all over northern CA for work and I am always surprised by usually having a signal. For the price, you can't beat MetroPCS. Their 4g, while not being super fast (~3megs down, 1meg up) is great, although I turn if off until I need to download something large or need faster service. Verizon and AT&T have a larger and more widespread network but I can't stand those companies and you pay WAY too much for the service you get. I'd rather stick with Metro for as long as possible if I can.

Do not switch to sprint. They have the worst signal, you can have 5 bars and will not get any service. Your phone never works. The customer service department are the worst. Customer service performance I give a 0. They need to stick by the " customer is always right" motto that most customer service reps and businesses stick by. They need to do an evaluation and provide better service. Bill is always going up, does not stick to what its supposed to be. I will NEVER recommend them or use Sprint again.
