T-Mobile

In neighborhood by Old City Cemetery. Muir Way, Broadway, Vallejo, Riverside. Reception is excellent. Guess T-Mobile has made some improvements in the last couple of years.

Southbound 99 to Southbound I-5, calls always drop between Elkhorn Blvd.and Del Paso Blvd.

Dropped calls all over town--from downtown Sacramento to Citrus Heights to Elk Grove. Too often calls won't go through when dialing. Contract is up in about 6 months--will probably switch back to T-Mobile since we had pretty good luck with them a few years ago (before smart phones were so big). I'd like to check out Verizon, or maybe Sprint, but they are both really expensive (we have 4 phones--2 with data, all 4 with texting).

I used to get decent reception, perhaps average, before my iPhone 4. Now I get dropped calls left and right. The reception has never been great here, that's for sure.

Reception and call drop frequency have been reasonable.

Missed and dropped calls occur often in my area and other parts of Elk Grove.

Phone Service varies from NO SERVICE to 3 bars in the house. Outside varies from 1 bar to 3 bars. Frequent dropped calls when answering. If I find a good spot I do not move from it from the duration of the call. Similar to having the old wired home phone. I frequently call back on the land line. AT&T suggests I spend several hundred dollars for a "tower in my home" - what am I paying them $$ for wireless and data service for? iPhone 3G shows 3G, but responds slowly - often drops to Edge. I usually just use it on my wireless network. My contract with AT&T is up in 2 months and I am shopping around.

I've been thru several phones at Verizon. No matter which phone you get, if you're in a radio wave dead area, nothing much helps except a signal extender. As explained to me, the tower transmitters are "aimed" in a direction to give as much cell coverage to the most people possible. If you're in an area that doesn't have an transmitter pointed your way, you're out of luck until they either build another tower or re-aim the transmitters. They have it figured out which way works best for most of the people and the others just have to suffer thru lousy reception. I get either one bar or no bars, and have to stand near the sliding glass door to get decent reception without intermittent swatches of conversation. I also have the person I'm talking to call me on the hardline house phone. Verizon doesn't plan to re-direct transmitters for a couple years and there's been too much controversy over putting in cell towers... even those that look like trees. Folks who happen to get good reception are happy... .those of us who don't have very few options. Clearwire may solve some of this, but it's too soon to tell.

Constant dropped calls. Signal Strength one bar. Signal strength rarely goes above two bars. Standing still with two bars on the phone the signal drops to zero all the time disconnecting calls. MetroPCS customer support useless.

I recently switch my 2 lines from AT&T and my Wife from Sprint over to Verizon. The service with Verizon is so much better then it was with AT&T and Sprint. We have not had a dropped call yet and the service is strong. The 3G data is very fast. No problems with Verizon. We are very happy with the service and customer service.
