How they have declined with TMobile at the helm. Had Metro for 10+ years after initial year they were great and cheap. Forced upgrade by TMobile and switching from cdma to gsm or vice versa i'm constantly lacking signal it seems like anywhere. I use the apps for uber and lyft which I had no problem before T-Mobile now I constantly get network errors and miss calls which cost me money. I have to pay $30 more a month to get data speed that I had before and it still inferior. TMobile and Metro SUCK. I've been trying to find another carrier that is dependable but even people that I ask that has Verizon say the same problems affect them and they used to be the best. Amazing how in America you can't find a decent cell phone carrier and the last affordable one jsut went like all the others. I get better signal in the Philipines. Was this review helpful to you?
LTE speeds are great in the morning, averaging at least 12 mbps. But once it hits the afternoon, speed can drop to less than 1 mbps in some cases due to the fact that the local tower can't handle the data capacity. It surprises me that T-Mobile advertises that they increased their data capacity. Was this review helpful to you?
I've had MetroPCS since the day they came to Sacramento back when I switched from "Air Touch". At first they were horrible but so cheap I couldn't resist but they did get better. I had to switch to Verizon because of a home I bought that didn't get signal on metro inside (still kept metro but became secondary phone). 2 years later metro had gotten great and I moved, I was so happy I dumped Verizon and their over priced bill. Then T-Mobile bought MetroPCS. The day I went from my LG Connect 4G (CDMA) to a GSM phone because they forced me to "upgrade" was the last day I ever saw full signal and full 4G LTE in my house. Now they are horrible and I search regularly for an affordable carrier that does not utterly stink the way they do. I rock 1 bar regularly and 99% of web searches result in page can not be displayed (because I have no internet connection). I've tried upgrading and getting their best phones as well as buying high end unlocked phones and T-Mobile phones. Metro PCS today is less reliable than it was 10+ years ago. T-Mobile ruined them and even when I go into the T-Mobile store they tell me I should switch to them because they only give Metro "limited access" and claim they make the service bad intentionally. I don't want to do business with a company like that so T-Mobile is off my list of companies I will switch to.Was this review helpful to you?
I almost selected "No Reception," because my phone no longer gets bars inside my home (95841)-I am totally dependent on WiFi. I usually use my phone near a window facing College Oak Drive. Outside on College Oak Drive, I get 2 to 3 bars. I do not live in a bunker, but since Sprint officially took over Virgin (I know Sprint was the carrier for Virgin), its service started going downhill. At my office in East Sacramento, I get 0-1 bars on my phone. I have to travel to San Francisco to get good coverage. I like my phone, originally purchased from Virgin, but am frustrated with the downhill turn Sprint service has taken in Sacramento. Was this review helpful to you?
Virgin Mobile service is horrible all the time. I consistently have one bar all times of day and night. Call quality is horrendous. Was this review helpful to you?
We used to have great service here (except in the kitchen for some reason) and we spend a lot of money for our Verizon account. During the last month or so my phone has slowed down so much I have spent hours dumping apps and photos and changing Task Managers to speed up my phone before realizing it was Verizon's lack of coverage that was at fault. I now regularly only have 1 bar, occasionally 2. Of course trying to navigate the horrible morass that is Verizon's "Sell, Sell, Sell, " web page is useless. Good luck, folks. Was this review helpful to you?
I've been with T-Mobile for about 8 years and I can honestly say that I am VERY pleased from my rate plan, to signal strength AND the best customer service in the industry! Over all my reception in most parts of town is very good. I have had small issues here and there but nothing major that would make me jump to another carrier. Most of the signal issues that I do have usually occur indoors and in select buildings with a lot of steel and concrete. And there are times when I'm at home that I may decide to disable the Wi-Fi fully utilizing the T-Mobile LTE network. A lot of people tell me Verizon and AT&T have larger coverage area but the thing that I've noticed that stands out with my carrier is the overall signal and sound quality! The biggest is not necessarily always the best! I can't see myself leaving T-mobile anytime soon if at all!Was this review helpful to you?

I just switched from AT&T to save some money. I've had service for two days and am pretty disappointed. With AT&T I had LTE almost everywhere. With T-Mobile I usually get only 2 bars and mostly 4g. Sometimes LTE. Went to SF today and had better coverage. But some places near the beach no signal. I'd say it definitely is a step down but what can I expcet. There's a reason it's cheaper. Hopefully it will get better. I do have to say though. I streamed music all the way from SF to Sac no problem. So while its spotted and low signal. It did work most the time. Was this review helpful to you?
In the house we get 2 to 3 bars. Calls are never dropped and seem to come through okay. Overall happy with cell service. I have a Tracfone android phone that uses the Verizon cell system. Was this review helpful to you?
