I’ve had Verizon for 30 years but over the last three years it’s gotten worst. Constant dropped calls. Especially in my home area but also when I travel to San Francisco etc. but mostly at home. I even have an extender to reach towers but still bad service. I was speaking with Verizon customer service for a long time and even then got our call dropped and Verizon didn’t even call me back after I asked if they would if our call got dropped. I had to call them back and explain everything all over to a new person. Not happy and looking for a new service.

For the last several weeks, I always have either dropped calls or cutting out. My son does as well. Unacceptable. If you are doing maintenance on our local cell tower tell us about it. Give us a timeline. Help us out. Give us a rebate for such poor service.

Low signal strength forces me to use my wireless network for phone calls which is very irritating. I am paying Verizon to use their Cellular service. I am not paying them to use my Internet service. There are some dead spots in my house I try to avoid, as well as a big dead spot on Central Ave near Kenneth Ave. What is most frustrating to me is that in the last couple of years the service as gone from good to below average. I thought they were supposed to be improving service.

Ok so AT&T claims that they have the best network. So I wanted a new phone and some of my family that doesn’t live with me has att, so I thought ok this might work. I look at the coverage map says everything is good so I order. July 24th pick up my phone and ever since then unless I am far away from my house I have bad service slow and it’s 5ge supposed to be fast right? NOT! I have talked to so many agents it’s nuts!

Metro reception downtown is terrible. Data speeds are unforgivably slow. It gets a bit better at off-peak hours, but generally slower than a snail on crutches.

Sprint is awful in North Highlands. My family and I (4 total) have had Virgin Mobile or Boost Mobile for several years (they are both subdivisions of Sprint) in Antelope area and never had problems at all with reception. I switched to Sprint a couple months ago and have 0 bars literally everywhere. It was so bad Sprint sent me something called a Magic Box so I could get reception at home. I still don’t get reception anywhere else though. I get 1 or 0 bars at work (Rio Linda), zero bars anywhere in north highlands and surrounding areas from Watt and Elkhorn down to Walegra all the way out to Scandia. I get 4 bars in parts of Roseville and 1 or 0 bars in other parts. Home is basically the only place I get reception and that’s only because of the magic box they sent. I can’t wait for my contract to end so I can switch back to AT&T. My phone is basically unusable unless I’m home.. but at that point I’m connected to WiFi anyways. I guess I don’t ever have to worry about going over my 3GB data. The last 5 months with Sprint I’ve never used more than 1GB data and I work 5 days a week so it’s not like I’m home all day, I just physically can’t use data because the reception is non existent. I have an iPhone and my roommate has a new galaxy and she doesn’t get good reception with Sprint either. She has 1-2 bars basically everything she goes too.

At&t promised a new tower in our area, but when it was put up reception only got slightly better. Still have horrible reception, dropped calls, not receiving txt, missed calls because of no reception. There are still large areas in the neighborhood that have no reception at all.
