There is barely any service in the office building I work in. Sending texts can take minutes and I only get 1 bar, If I am luckly I can get two bars. Forget about trying to search for anything on the web. I have to turn off my WI Fi, since it is eating up my battery trying to find a good signal.

Everybody but Verizon customers have to step outside the house to use their phones. We had Verizon when living in sac, moved to roseville and still strong... just expensive :(

Most of the time I can get one bar or service with no bars but the amount of time I look at my phone and have no service is scary. I often drop calls before it's even connected. Ever since the merger with T-Mobile, MetroPCS is useless with any phone.

How they have declined with TMobile at the helm. Had Metro for 10+ years after initial year they were great and cheap. Forced upgrade by TMobile and switching from cdma to gsm or vice versa i'm constantly lacking signal it seems like anywhere. I use the apps for uber and lyft which I had no problem before T-Mobile now I constantly get network errors and miss calls which cost me money. I have to pay $30 more a month to get data speed that I had before and it still inferior. TMobile and Metro SUCK. I've been trying to find another carrier that is dependable but even people that I ask that has Verizon say the same problems affect them and they used to be the best. Amazing how in America you can't find a decent cell phone carrier and the last affordable one jsut went like all the others. I get better signal in the Philipines.

LTE speeds are great in the morning, averaging at least 12 mbps. But once it hits the afternoon, speed can drop to less than 1 mbps in some cases due to the fact that the local tower can't handle the data capacity. It surprises me that T-Mobile advertises that they increased their data capacity.

I've had MetroPCS since the day they came to Sacramento back when I switched from "Air Touch". At first they were horrible but so cheap I couldn't resist but they did get better. I had to switch to Verizon because of a home I bought that didn't get signal on metro inside (still kept metro but became secondary phone). 2 years later metro had gotten great and I moved, I was so happy I dumped Verizon and their over priced bill. Then T-Mobile bought MetroPCS. The day I went from my LG Connect 4G (CDMA) to a GSM phone because they forced me to "upgrade" was the last day I ever saw full signal and full 4G LTE in my house. Now they are horrible and I search regularly for an affordable carrier that does not utterly stink the way they do. I rock 1 bar regularly and 99% of web searches result in page can not be displayed (because I have no internet connection). I've tried upgrading and getting their best phones as well as buying high end unlocked phones and T-Mobile phones. Metro PCS today is less reliable than it was 10+ years ago. T-Mobile ruined them and even when I go into the T-Mobile store they tell me I should switch to them because they only give Metro "limited access" and claim they make the service bad intentionally. I don't want to do business with a company like that so T-Mobile is off my list of companies I will switch to.

I live by Criple Creek and I'm not sure if the wooded area by the creek reduces signal but I get 1 to 2 bars indoors. I rely on WiFi indoors and would have to go outside to talk to people.

I almost selected "No Reception," because my phone no longer gets bars inside my home (95841)-I am totally dependent on WiFi. I usually use my phone near a window facing College Oak Drive. Outside on College Oak Drive, I get 2 to 3 bars. I do not live in a bunker, but since Sprint officially took over Virgin (I know Sprint was the carrier for Virgin), its service started going downhill. At my office in East Sacramento, I get 0-1 bars on my phone. I have to travel to San Francisco to get good coverage. I like my phone, originally purchased from Virgin, but am frustrated with the downhill turn Sprint service has taken in Sacramento.
