Got a letter from Sprint in June saying I had an unusually large amount of data roaming use. Went to Longview Sprint store and was told Sprint will drop my service in about a month. Was sold this Sprint service because "they contract to use other company's towers" so I'd have service anywhere. Well, I guess they are paying too much for me to have service at home 'cause I get the roaming warning every day. Store said new Sprint owners are cracking down on those of us who used Sprint's promise to use other's towers to have service. Not sure who to switch to? Who has good service in Toutle? Was this review helpful to you?
I have been battling AT&T for a very long time over my issues. I have an AT&T tower 1 mile away but yet I have dropped calls, can't send or receive texts sometimes, 4G and bars are good but cant use Internet, people call 20 times and calls dont go through when my phone says I have bars and 4G? Customer service reps have said many St. Helens customers require high speed Internet and have to purchase a $150 box to put on it to receive service?? I feel its AT&T's responsibility to put money out to fix this, not a paying customer who pays for service in a service area. We have an AT&T tower in our small town but still 20% service. Was this review helpful to you?
Edge coverage only in most of Longview, WA not even 3G.Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint coverage has been pretty good in Longview the last 6 months. Most of Longview now has LTE Coverage and I have seen speeds up to 28mbps.Was this review helpful to you?
Ever since I left T Mobile (they overcharged me on the rates and new customers got a cheaper rate and the full pkg and paid less than what I was being charged for getting only 1000 min. and no text) and went to Sprint, I have regretted it. Thought I would get better coverage and comparable plan. Well, ever since I switched, right off the bat the service was terrible. I live on a hill and I GET THE WORST RECEPTION EVER! I called customer service repeatedly and it was one excuse after the other. In the first year I probably had maybe a total of 5 months that I could actually make a call as the service was so poor. They would only take off $25 or I should say credit my account! What a total rip off! They finally sent me an Air Rave that should have boosted the signal. It helps a little but not much. Thank God I didn’t have to pay for that. I had to get a better phone so then was roped into getting one from them again and have been locked into another contract. I now need another phone and have several months’ till my 2 yr. contract is up. I went to a Sprint store and they told me up front that the phones they make they make them to last only a year. I am not going to be railroaded into another upgrade and have to pay $200 to get another phone and another 2 yr. contract. I am going to go shop the market and find a phone that I can use no matter who I wind up signing up with, buy it outright, stay and finish my contract with Sprint so I don’t have to pay a fee to leave Sprint and then go wherever I want and not be locked into a contract! These phone companies need to be taught a lesson that they can’t just push us around. I’m sick and tired of it! I hope this information can help anyone in the same predicament. Was this review helpful to you?
I get text most of the time, sometimes hours later though. Sometimes phone rings but call drops as soon as you try to answer. Was this review helpful to you?
Good cell reception, but when using internet on Motorola Electrify phone it's less predictable. Husband's new iPhone 5 works great as mobile hotspot. Was this review helpful to you?
Us cellular needs to fix their tower.we are picking up from tower that is further away. Quit focusing on internet! focus on phone reception! Was this review helpful to you?
Coverage great when I started contract, but has gotten progressively poorer. Coverage map now shows spotty service all over the area. Clearly Sprint is cutting the service area from its network. Employee at Sprint said "don't buy data plan from us, it won't work in your area" and "probably you have to change carriers". Service turns from marginal to none north of 139th street. This is a large urban market for crying out loud. Way to go Sprint, we are moving - about 20 phones with family and friends involved. Apparently you are not trying to increase or improve market share. Was this review helpful to you?
