Moved from Verizon to AT&T. I immediately noticed the 4g lte speeds are incredibly slow downtown. While Verizon was slower than AT&T in some areas, like the sellwood area, it was still fast enough for me. Now, with AT&T, the speeds are very slow, it's like I'm on a 3G network when I'm supposedly on lte.Was this review helpful to you?
I work on the third floor next to a window. 4G LTE speeds have always been slow, but over the last two-three weeks it's abysmal. I can't even complete an Ookla SpeedTest -- it "times out" after several minutes, with a download speed < 0.5Mbps. That's not a misprint. Less than 1 / 2 a Mbps! My signal strength averages -97 dBm, which isn't great but it's not terrible either. So... a device issue? Unlikely as co-workers with different VZW devices experience the same issue. Too much traffic and network congestion? Perhaps. An actual dead zone? Maybe. I don't really know, but whatever's going on is maddening - especially with the "premium" rates VZW customers pay. *Ironically, both speed and signal strength improve as I move inward, closer to the center of the building. Was this review helpful to you?

Though T-Mobile may have the best coverage as well as the other carriersin my area (ie. Verizon and AT&T) they are Enormously better then Sprint and T-Mobile get's 40mbps down on LTE, plus I get unlimited everything so I'm happy!.Was this review helpful to you?

Sprint is the worst As a business person is expect to get LTE in downtown Portland. I've called customer service several times to tell them how I have 1x or no signal. Emails, internet, maps, or any activity is terrible. Was told "towers being upgraded" But wait ! I traveled to San Francisco for business and the Apple campus. I thought to myself "get service here must be great?" But No luck, even in one of the nations most progressive technology cities. Sprint advertises LTE but it's a lieWas this review helpful to you?
Sprint signal not as advertised on coverage map. Sprint says 4G LTE is best in my area, but at best 2 bars outside with phone pointed at tower on Mt. Tabor 6 blocks away. Was this review helpful to you?
I get 1 to 3 bars at home and at the office which is about 3 miles away. Common to have dropped calls or poor quality. Seems to work fine in some areas but not where I use it most. Was this review helpful to you?
Verizon is usually very good for me, but in my office, pretty much smack in the middle of Portland, I get horrendous service. We're talking texts that seem to stall and don't send or receive for several minutes, NO data service, though calls seem to work ok. I am very unhappy with this dead zone that I work in. Verizon really needs to boost it's signal in the Lloyd Center area. Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T has degraded the 2G network to the point it doesn't work. Kept it hidden until the "upgrade" the 1st of 2014, now trying to blame the customer. had a so called "manager" call me and tell me they updated the towers for the 4G LTE and had to make room. that was taking out the 2G service. so basic phone usage is now GONE in Portland, OR. Lies and misinformation is the AT&T byword now.Was this review helpful to you?
