AT&T

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | NW 25th Ave. | NW Northrup St., Portland, OR 97210 |

Very bad reception on 3G. Dropped calls and people complain that my audio drops out during conversations. Data speed is usually slower than it was when I used Edge on my iPhone 3G but sometimes it actually works. If I didn't have access to Wifi I'd really be screwed. AT&T has had bad 3G in my area for years and still hasn't done a thing about it and now that I'm on a device that doesn't allow me to disable 3G and use Edge I'm fed up. I'll be switching providers next week and can't wait to be done with AT&T. I also have a friend who used to have AT&T issues on NW 19th and Overton and he said switching from AT&T made a world of difference.

Cricket has no service here, I am two miles from the cricket store. No resolutions, Multiple service area tickets sent by me and the Cricket retailer, the people at the corporate store were no help, local retailer said wait two months for a new tower to be built.Im paying for no service at all.

AT&T

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | Annette Dr. | Heidi St., Oregon City, OR 97045 |

AT&T provides great phone service; however, if you have any phone other than an iPhone or Blackberry you will get annoyed rapidly. The area is hilly and they are putting up more towers; but, I have been told for months on end that the tower will be up and running at the end of the month. Today, end of August when again it was suppose to be up and working, it now won't be up until September 30th. It is just lie after lie. The aircard I have with them is great in 4 / 5 bar areas; however, here we are lucky to get one or two and web pages do not load. For the cell phone you must have the phone in 2G mode and not 3G or it is dropped calls galore. So, when I am home, I move it to 2G and when I get on the road I move it back to the 3G. That takes care of the phone issue. The aircard is still a problem. And, I usually have 5,000 minutes or more per month because of the nature of my job. I would recommend AT&T but only with the iPhone and Blackberry.

Virgin Mobile

Sprint, Virgin Mobile and Boost are Not Recommended here. Signal drops in and out of coverage all over Milwaukie, Gladstone, lower Oregon City, Oak Grove, Oak Lodge and Jennings Lodge. Third phone from VMUSA, all did same thing.

AT&T

poor reception. have to go outside or upstairs to have a decent conversation. many dropped calls. sometimes phone doesn't ring and hours later get a voice mail. delayed text msgs. friends say I sound like i'm talking underwater. so frustrating! found a trick online. put your cell phone in a drinking glass and it will add one bar. helps with receiving calls / texts. we have a sunken in family room and have a lot of rock in our landscaping so maybe that is why we have poor service???

AT&T Reception is horrible in the house. I get 4-5 bars but as soon as I answer I loose those bars and my caller. Is it the service or the location? Does anybody get good reception with in the Barrington Heights location with an iPhone?

Cricket

went from T-Mobile to Cricket and have found out exactly why they call this company the ghetto cell phone company. Their customer service sucks and reception is just as bad if not worse.

Every day its a dropped call, I have to go outside to even get someone to hear me. Choppy and distorted most messages do not go through on the first try. Event though my area has coverage according to their map, it does not.
