I marked poor (1 bar), even though I get three bars, because my phone service is frequently terrible. Most often people on the other end of the line can only make out a word here or there that I am speaking. My last phone (a Motorola W315) was wonderful. The Cricket CAPTR II stinks! I upgraded becaue my Motorola was old, and the battery was getting weak. I have had my CAPTR six days, and Cricket is requiring a $20 Warranty return fee in order to exchange it in store, even though they have acknowledged that the phone is defective. And I'm not sure what the remedy will be if the next phone of the same model has the same problems. The other option is to return the phone for the manufacturer's warranty, which will take 3-6 weeks to return! I'm pretty pissed right now. I loved my Cricket service with my Motorola, but I'm now seeing the evil side of Cricket, and I'm seriously thinking of switching to Straight Talk. I couldn't get treated any worse for my 3 1 / 2 as a good, paying, customer. Was this review helpful to you?
I work from my home, located at Taylors Ferry and 61st in PDX, and use my phone a lot. Rarely does a day go by that I don't drop a voice call. Recently, after dropping three important calls in one day, I installed an AT&T Micro-Cell 3G Tower ($200) and it helps somewhat better. It plugs into your Broadband Internet connection and converts a locally produced 3G signal into a VoIP (voice over IP connection). The problem I have is that my phone alternates between the Micro-Cell 3G signal and the 3G Tower signal depending where I am in my house. Although I don't drop calls as often, sometimes I get very poor voice quality on the Micro-Cell using VoIP. This is in spite of the fact that I have a 10mbit business class cable modem with plenty of available bandwidth in both directions. Was this review helpful to you?
Moved here a couple of months ago and although I don't use my phone much for actual calls, I've noticed I can't use streaming audio / video services like Rdio and Netflix. Connection drops in and out frequently. If I'm walking towards downtown, it'll suddenly get better around Jefferson or Morrison Streets walking from SW / PSU area. Lame. Was this review helpful to you?
Quite good reception, but I am in an office with a window which helps. Have had no dropped calls here at work. Was this review helpful to you?
Been with T-Mobile for 5 years at this location with an old Nokia phone... never have any reception problems... even in the basement. Quite happy with service! Was this review helpful to you?
I consistently have one bar at my house and it drops into no service periodically throughout the day. Most of the time I can't send texts or make calls without walking around to try to catch more bars. Turning 3G off helps. Was this review helpful to you?
Signals come and go. I am in an office building, but windows all around me. Signal strong outside, but very poor inside. Some reason Verison signal is better and that is why my company switched to them, because our sales stuff continuously was heading out when they got a call. I don't want to switch. I need GSM service, but I don't get it, why T-Mobile's signal is so week here inside. Was this review helpful to you?
I get 0-1 bars in my apartment on 21st and NE Weidler st. If I go outside it's OK, but what the heck? Was this review helpful to you?
I should really be giving them a score of 0 "No reception" because that's what it is 95% of the time, anywhere I go. T-Mobile sucks, period. the end.Was this review helpful to you?
